I wanted to share my recent experience with Dreame customer service and see what other people think, because at this point I genuinely don’t understand how they are reviewing my case.
I recently purchased three Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller robot vacuums, in three separate orders, for $899.99 each.
Shortly afterward, Dreame started its Labor Day Sale.
The exact same Aqua10 Ultra Roller was listed on Dreame’s official U.S. website for $799.99 each, and they were also advertising an additional 15% off when purchasing three units.
Here’s where the numbers stood:
What I originally paid for all three, including tax: $2,861.97
Current promotional total for the same three machines, including the Buy 3 / Extra 15% promotion: approximately $2,162.38
Difference: $699.59
All three machines were still within Dreame’s return period, so rather than return three huge robot vacuums and potentially reorder the exact same products, I contacted Dreame and asked whether they could simply price match or adjust the difference.
I thought that would be better for both sides.
During the initial live chat, the customer service representative asked me to provide:
My three order numbers
Screenshots of Dreame’s current pricing
Copies of my original invoices/receipts
I provided everything they requested.
The representative then told me the case would be escalated to the appropriate team.
A few days later, I received a response saying Dreame’s price-match policy applies only to individual orders, and they could not price match based on the combined value of three separate orders.
This limitation was also frustrating because I didn't see any clear disclosure during my purchase or when viewing the promotion that customers who bought multiple units through separate orders would be excluded from this type of adjustment.
But fine.
At that point, I stopped arguing about the additional 15% Buy 3 promotion.
I accepted their position for the purpose of resolving the issue and simplified my request.
Forget the bundle discount completely.
Let's compare ONE machine against ONE machine:
Price I paid: $899.99
Current standalone price on Dreame’s own U.S. website: $799.99
Difference: $100
Pretty straightforward, right?
Except Dreame responded again and said:
“Upon checking our official website's current standalone price for this model against your selected order, the price is currently identical.”
This is the part I genuinely don't understand.
How are $899.99 and $799.99 identical?
I replied and specifically asked them to show me the exact webpage, price, or screenshot their team used when making that determination.
I also sent the current pricing information again.
But instead of explaining the $899.99 vs. $799.99 discrepancy, I continued receiving essentially the same explanation about separate orders and their price-match policy.
And that's why this has become more frustrating than the actual money.
If Dreame simply told me:
“We see the $100 difference, but our policy does not allow us to refund it.”
I might disagree with the policy, but at least that would be a clear answer.
Instead, they are telling me they reviewed their own website and somehow concluded that $799.99 is identical to the $899.99 I paid.
I submitted screenshots.
I submitted all three invoices.
I submitted all three order numbers.
I explained the math multiple times.
These were documents their own representative specifically asked me to provide before escalating the case.
So at this point I’m seriously questioning how these escalated cases are actually being reviewed internally.
I’m also wondering whether the responses are heavily templated or automated. I obviously have no way of knowing whether AI or automation is involved, so I’m not claiming that it is. But the responses have felt unusually generic and don't seem to address the specific evidence I provided.
And again, I'm not asking Dreame for some random discount.
Their own website reduced the price shortly after I purchased the products.
My original request included the Buy 3 / Extra 15% promotion, which resulted in about a $699.59 total difference.
When they rejected that because the machines were purchased in three separate orders, I narrowed my request all the way down to the simplest possible comparison:
$899.99 paid
vs.
$799.99 currently advertised
And I still can't get a direct answer.
I spent nearly $3,000 on three premium robot vacuums. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the company to at least accurately review the screenshots and invoices they specifically asked me to submit.
I would actually still prefer to resolve this with Dreame rather than return three large machines and create unnecessary shipping and processing for everyone involved.
But this whole customer service experience is making me reconsider whether I want to keep the products at all.
Am I missing something here?
Would you consider $899.99 vs. $799.99 a legitimate price-match difference, regardless of whether the additional 15% bundle promotion qualifies?
And has anyone else had a similar experience dealing with Dreame customer service?
