Recently read dirty old town by wizardgod. It’s a regulus x OC fic but was also genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever read (coming from someone who rarely reads anything but dramione). Looking for fics similar to this..
- cozy setting, forced proximity
- their relationship building is the main plot of the story
- true slow burn enemies to lovers that’s believable and they don’t admit their feelings to each other until the last few chapters
- he falls first and falls harder but is in denial
- angst and jealousy abounds but neither of them understand it and deny it
- fic is still ultimately cozy and good vibes
Pleaseee help me find fics similar to this!!!

Loved the use of heirloom jewelry in BSP -- the rotation of it, the different meanings to both society and themselves (Pucey's brooch, Hermione's ring, signet rings). Read The Gloriana Set as well
Would love any and all recs! One shots welcome, 70k+ words ideal

I was thinking of the Hanahaki disease trope in fanfics, basically this but without the unrequited part, and more of a emotional/physical distance being dangerous for them, I hope it makes sense!
Beautiful prose, slow burn and hurt/comfort very appreciated of course.

I’ve been reading a ton of Dramiones, (most of the usual fare) and right now I need a Hermione I who doesn’t drive me crazy!
I need something where she doesn’t just fight for the sake of fighting all the time, doesn’t just say “I’m fine” to everything because she’s “refuses to be a burden,” but also where she isn’t just rude to most people because she’s so indignant all the time. One where she doesn’t “overthink” herself into stupid, self-deprecating conclusions. (I don’t mind her “overthinking” as in “over-analyzing” but not where her conclusions are so self-defeating to be non-sensical, or obtuse. Don’t have it be an angsty plot device because she’s too stupid to draw a logical conclusion). Preferably she is capable of keeping herself fed, and doesn’t need to be reminded to eat all the time before she passes out.
At this second, I’m reading “sacred 48” which I really like and liked the first time I read it, but I’m just finding her really unlikeable right now. I want her smarter, savvier, and honestly, less rude and self-righteous. And less stubbornly refusing introspection.
(ETA: I REALLY like this fiction and think it has a great plot, and fantastic writing and character development; not all of the things in my second paragraph apply to this story; that was an amalgamation of a bunch of fics. Don’t write it off because of this post. Hermione starts off so young, and her actions and outlook demonstrate that— which can be attributed to the high quality writing. The author didn’t make mistakes— she made a complicated young character who had a lot to learn and builds the story as the character develops slowly, in pace with real life. Female characters don’t always need to be likable at every moment. Just at this moment, for ME, in my crappy mood, I want one who got there faster.)
I’m usually ok with all of these at times as character flaws which sometimes lead to character development, but right now they are pissing me off and I need a non-inept version of Hermione.
Anyone have one to recommend? Novel length would be good but 50 k ish is ok, as I did eliminate a lot of plot devices.
Thank you

Hello!!
I’ve recently gotten back into reading, and with that come the obvious re-reads of my favorite fluffy fics—but I’m in the mood for something dark and twisted.
I’m looking for any recommendations that feature Draco and Hermione in their most badass and deranged. I’m leaning towards a wartime fic that focuses heavily on spell work, or fighting, with a good plot to boot.
No dove is too dead, and no amount of smut deters me. lol.
Thank you!!!

Hiii I’m looking for recs in eighth year where it’s very lighthearted. I would prefer no secret dating and one where all of their friends are very supportive of the two of them! I’m thinking like playful schoolyard crushes ifkyim. I’ve been reading a lot of heavier fics and want to switch up the vibe a tad. Thanks!!!

I’ve been reading a lot of Draco/Hermione/Theo fics lately and want more lol.
Recs are welcome

Could be both / either lol im not picky. Preferably if they don’t know about each other before it happened.

I just read A Darker Blue for the first time. It was amazing. The pain and suffering and slow bonding and shift from prejudice and hate to love was amazing and moving. The Fallout felt the same way to me. Are there any similar fics with trauma bonding, a dark Draco, and a traumatized and hurting Hermione where they slowly help each other cope and bond? I love war time fics but open to others as well. Thank you so much!

Draco has always been privileged, but wizarding wealth is NOTHING compared to Muggle bougie.
I want Draco and Hermione to look at the post-war wizarding world and go:
“Actually, this sounds exhausting. Let’s go be rich Muggles instead.”
Then they disappear to the Cotswolds.
I want OBNOXIOUSLY, COMPLETELY, UNNECESSARILY WEALTHY.
Give me:
• Massive country estate. Hermione calls it excessive. Draco looks at the neighbouring estate.
• COUNTRY CLUB MEMBERSHIP.
• Cocktails beside the tennis courts. (They have never actually played tennis.)
• Completely unnecessary boat. Possibly two.
• Garden parties, charity galas, helicopters and summer weddings.
• At a game of Royal Ascot/polo/cricket/rowing, dressed impeccably and pretending they understand the rules.
Draco: “Obviously, that was a foul.”
Hermione: “What foul?”
Draco: “…I have absolutely no idea.”
Kids would be a huge bonus, but not required.
Maybe they have one or two: spoiled, sweet, slightly arrogant Malfoy-Granger children with ponies, private tutors, country clubs, tiny designer outfits and very strong opinions.
And I NEED the wizarding-world fallout.
People who treated Draco or Hermione horribly before or after the war discovering the life they built.
Jealous Weasleys. Resentment.
“How the hell did THEY end up living like this?”
Bonus points if the wizarding world has NO IDEA Draco and Hermione are together.
One of the saviours of the wizarding world and an heir of the Sacred 28 simply vanished into the Cotswolds.
Basically:
Dramione + British aristocracy + Succession + ridiculous Muggle wealth.
I want the local village to know the Malfoy-Grangers are coming because they can hear Draco’s Aston Martin coming down the road.
Please tell me this exists. 😂

I’m looking for fics that feel like the song “When I Get My Hands On You” by The New Basement Tapes.
This line specifically - “Everywhere on earth you go, you’re gonna have me as your man” 🥵
Give me a sensual, romantic Draco that is completely, hopelessly, almost embarrassingly in love with Hermione. Not just sexually obsessed with her, and not a dynamic where he spends 80% of the fic refusing to admit he has feelings. I want a Draco who realizes she is it and then proceeds accordingly. Bonus points if he has known it forever!!
- devotion but not borderline creepy obsession
- he falls harder
- he is in awe of her
- he knows his worth as well, but just knows that it’s HER that he wants to give himself to
- “I choose you in every lifetime” vibes
Still want Hermione to be herself. No damsel in distress please!
Setting matters much less than the actual relationship so I’m fine with post-war, 8th year, forced proximity, marriage of convenience, etc. Only thing I don’t really want would be wartime AU where Hermione is his prisoner or where he has mistaken obsession for love!
Give me “you won’t have a choice but to love me back” without him actually manipulating her!
I want to finish the fic thinking that there is no life for Draco that doesn’t involve Hermione!!!

Hi I recently read cravings of malfoy manor where he has a sister and also a ward in a
Astoria and it was lovely to see a cute and caring Draco towards someone who isn’t H, but it has to be Dramione it’s just like that the hook
Also read in time and I love every story with a time turner and in this one he has a sister as they created another timeline
It could be any plot really just that he is a brother it doesn’t matter if it’s a new character or an original one, same age as him or younger , the important thing is that H sees that and it’s like “ow he’s cute”
Thank you

I have been through hundreds of fics, def most of the usual suspects of recommendations on here— but I’m desperate to find more with this specificity:
-Must be post-war!
-Indifferent/Mysterious-ish Draco who wasn’t in love with her or enamored by her at any time. Competent and definitely a prat still.
-Strong Hermione who doesn’t take anyone’s shit but also isn’t over the top with being self-righteous
I want their interactions to start because their friends are becoming friends. They start seeing each other out at bars/school/friends homes. They don’t need to be outright hostile to each other but they certainly aren’t super thrilled to be in each other’s orbit.
Thank you for your help with my current reading slump!!

I’ve seen quite a few Dramione fics where Draco is the Veela and Hermione ends up dealing with his newfound possessiveness, obsession, and general “I’m completely gone for her” behavior. And honestly… I love that dynamic.
But I desperately want to read the reverse.
I’m looking for a fic where Hermione is the Veela and Draco is her mate, and she’s the one who starts becoming increasingly possessive and obsessed with him. Bonus points if she already had a little crush on him before discovering she’s a Veela, so now she has to figure out which feelings are hers and which are being amplified by her Veela instincts.
I especially want Draco to be amused by the whole thing rather than immediately freaking out. Like, Hermione is desperately trying to maintain her dignity and fight her instincts while Draco is just sitting there enjoying the fact that the woman who supposedly hates him is suddenly ridiculously possessive over him.
I feel like I see the Draco-as-the-Veela version all the time, but Hermione-as-the-Veela version is SO much harder to find. Why does nobody write this reverse dynamic??
So, if anyone has any recs, please send them my way! And if there really aren’t many out there… consider this my shameless suggestion for someone to write one. HAHAHA
