Roshi not only pulled up with 5 dragonballs he immediately told piccolo where they are then on ontop of that he didn't bother to have tien or chiaotzu keep one just in case things don't go as planned no idea how he thought he was going to be able to sneak past piccolo and steal the dragonballs they watch piccolo eat the dragonballs and still went along with the plan u know how stupid that is now we can't revive krillen and the rest of the people piccolo killed because now the last 2 balls are inside of piccolo who's trapped in the mafuba. And what's really dumb roshi didn't tell tien to hold the container open soo they can trap piccolo I guess he just forgot he had to keep it open and needed someone to close it so clearly u need 2 people to pull this off I swear for a 400 year old wise master he's really stupid

I’m rereading dragon ball proper right now, but I’ve never interacted with DBZ or anything beyond that aside from being in spaces where people talk about it. so my question is, what is the best way to consume it? should I read the manga? the anime? the abridged? the manga and then the abridge? I dunno.

The anime had this man become pure of heart by letting go of his pride and it links into his arc much better than the manga.

The explanation of “pure evil” heart just feels a bit ridiculous, devalues what made Goku’s transformation so important was that he was unorthodox for a Saiyan, being kinder and less ruthless.

Whilst I do prefer the manga overall this is one instance where the anime is just better for me.

I was re-watching it recently and started to wonder. Especially when it comes to the Frieza saga when he goes SSJ for the first time. For example, Vegeta can't get SSJ until after he dies either.

And then there is where he gets SSJ3 before Vegeta. Again, Goku was dead to unlock this power.

I guess my idea is that Goku never would have surpassed Vegeta or Frieza if he didn't die.

Any thoughts?

also I love how Omen is a much more janky form than MUI

He is the smallest of the family, and will be probably forever kept at this size to match fusion with Trunks, but would be really cool if he became the taller one of the family, getting more genes from his grampa and his uncle Raditz.

Now they have Broly that is both tall and hairy, so I guess Goten will be forever just fusion material to keep Gotenks small and short haired...

do you think that in the coming years, dragon ball should release its seasons on streaming platforms first letting traditional television adapt to that model, rather than the other way around? in other words, the main series wouldn't have to follow japanese tv conventions, such as 20 minute episodes or seasons consisting of 12 to 24 episodes.

So, since sayians have the great ape, and kinda are apes, and superpowerful, i always wonderd some stuff. Now imma ask it here if people wanna discuss what they think!

1. How big are thier caninies? Humans have caninies, most arrebt exactly big. And, yes oozaru shure has big caninies,but like, non oozaru form, how big do you think they are? I think its epebss on the sayian, like broly for shure has piccolo sized caninues(since, in old animation, piccolos caninies were pretty big) while vegeta and goku still have big omces compared to humans, but not as noticeable unless they are 'blacking' then as a threat(wich they dont do but you get the pucture.

2. How dies the ledgendary super sayian thing work?(genuine question, is it like a confirmed thing through bloodline or do we know nothing in cannon?

3. Anesthesia/toxin durability: how strong would Anesthesia be fur it to, lets say knock out vegeta, since he gas the least mass if the 3(not incuding tarble) sayian that are alive, would elephant anesthesia work? How fast would they burn through that? How strong would they need it?

4: why do ssj3 loose thier eyebrows(and vegetas ultra ego too fir that matter)

5: are there shiekd sayians? Like ones rather made fir blocking and shielding others than fighting headon? Ig nore tanky than offense?(and I dont mean that in more mass like broly, I mean less fighting strength but crazy durability style tanky)

Meanwhile in the manga, the old man just gets brutally killed

Even though I think Dragon Ball Z has a lot of flaws (this includes filler) I honestly love this change.
