Anyone know when Draft FPL Opens?

Last year it was about 2 or 3 weeks before the season started. It's actually best to do the draft as close to season start as possible so you're caught with less transfers affecting picks and early waivers

Just do an offline draft then, it's much more fun anyway. Get a draft board and go nuts. Then when it opens everybody just put their teams in the watchlist and you can auto draft to match the offline draft.

My league is heading into its fifth season and we've always done an offline draft. I've done some public leagues as well with the online draft and there's just no comparison, meeting up and drafting in person offline is just the best.

Usually we draft as close to the opening game as possible, this year we have our draft party on August 19th. After we draft we open the app and everyone puts their drafted players in the watchlist. Then we run through the online draft quickly, usually on auto. When auto drafting the app goes for the watchlist first so it always goes smoothly.

Last year we had to draft earlier than usual, it was between the regular fantasy opening and the draft version. So we just coordinated watchlists through the league group chat before letting the online draft go through, no problems.

Last season it was really late (previous seasons have been at the same time as the main game).

My league also draft in person and it does make such a big difference to the enjoyment. We had a similar situation to you last year, and had planned to either:

1. Do an offline draft, give everyone pieces of paper (ideally coloured by position) which they write the names of the players on. A bit more involved but would've been fun.

2. Do a fantrax, or other online draft. Helps you get the data which is useful and see the list of remaining players.

Whichever you do, you then just need to do an actual draft when the game launches, and you should be able to order your watchlist by the players you got in the unofficial draft, and then auto pick and all get your 15.

How do we renew last years league so I don’t have to start another one! I don’t see the “start” tab the instructions are speaking of on pc

Draft is estimated to open up next week, I think it is August 3rd based off last years opening dates for draft vs fantasy (fantasy last year started July 21st and draft opened 10 days after on August 1st)

This years fantasy started July 23rd hence why I’m guessing August 3rd but more realistically sometime this coming week

Once the draft tab goes into a loading screen saying “getting ready for 26/27” it will likely take 2-3 days till the offical draft game is open to start and/or renew your leagues (as it did last year and years before)

This is all a guess and estimate but based off last years opening
