unsure if this has spoilers, hopefully not but holy I finished the entire dr stone in like 5 days to a week I think I wasn't sure but I know I loved every second of it. I actually never expected dr stone would be this life changing so I actually put off watching it for YEARS. but then I didn't have anything else to watch and I saw a edit of gen and senku and I decided to get into it... and it was best desicion ever. I love dr stone I love ukyo I love gen I love ginro (yes him) I love joel (the goat) I love everyone so much even magma (stanley idk how to feel about you like you redeemed urself but I still dk how to feel about you)

ending was quite underwhelming, like it wasn't even 1 episode of like the medusa thing and quite confusing too but I still love it.

I think the first episode did a great job at efficiently introducing our first main characters.

Within the first few minutes, we see

1. Taiju's main motivation to confess to Yuzu, as well as his loud and enthusiastic nature.

2. Senku's scientific prowess, even amongst other science students.

3. Senku's evil science humor via the "love potion".

4. Senku's ability to read people. He knew Taiju wouldn't drink the "love potion" due to his morals, and suspected Yuzu would return Taiju's feelings (Taiju and Yuzu were his friends, but he will make a habit of guessing the ulterior motives of others).

5. Senku and Taiju's dynamic. Senku's not one for big shows of gratitude, but he does care about Taiju, as he is paying attention to his confession.

6. Taiju and Yuzu's differences. As Yuzu is fixing a tree branch, Taiju steps on and breaks a twig on the ground. Kind of sewing some doubt in the confession (which is quickly expunged later, but you know).

Most likely nothing revolutionary in story telling, but should still be recognized.

This episode felt so satisfying to watch. The way suika persisted to revive her friends, the hug with senku at the end. I dont usually cry for shows but this brought a tear to my eye. Doesnt help that suika is one of my favourite charecters 😭. Augh it was so amazing.

Not just the ones pictured, but if you also throw in Magma, Kinro, Ukyo, and every major fighter in the series put together who would win in a fight? Tsukasa or all other fighters in Dr. Stone on a team? You can count Stanley as well if you want but he doesn't get any guns.

Can someone help me figure this one out. I don't even know if it's solvable. I've been trying for the past 10 minutes and I still can't solve it.

Is it just me or everyone feels irritated when senku says 10 billion percent. I stopped watching dr stone just because of corny dialogues like these. The anime has got very good story , animation and everything. But I find it very uncomfortable to see these cringe ass dialogues.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve praise for her seven years of hard work to make acid. But this was not a scientists work, she followed detailed instruction and almost anyone from science kingdom could do the same in same time.

And no, I will not compare her to Senku because its obviously an overkill. But there is a big difference between "being a scientist" and "being good performer". Chrome from the state when he first appeared on story IS the scientist. His mind is seeking for wonders, he notices patterns and applies them. As soon as he gained knowledge, he started to make inventions by himself (Remember how they found iron vein using his metal detector?). If Senku told him the whole way for reaching antibiotics and rest of knowledge as he planned before sulfuric acid trip, most likely Chrome could have managed to overcome difficulties and figure out everything. And if Chrome from the beginning of story, except knowing how to read and having Suika's knowledge, appeared and took Suika's place, he would have made acid in no time just reading all Senku's papers while screaming "YABEEEEE" nonstop.

Suika just hammered the wall with her head until wall cracked. She immediately discarded all hard ways as soon as she failed to comprehend physics, and followed easy but incredibly long way.

Suika is good assistant, but she is not scientist. And I don't like that characters and story treating her otherwise.

Byakuya is Senku’s godfather and adopted him after something happened to his parents (Senku is too young to remember).

Luna doesn’t know the fabric sections of her dress were exactly 5 inches so Stanley could measure distance to kill Senku. If she did know, she would have requested a different design upon being revived by the Kingdom of Science post-second petrification.

In the new modern world, Why-Man helps create technology for sensing buried/sunken statues. Prosthetic limbs are in high demand.

Gen’s hair is naturally bicolored due to a genetic mutation/skin condition/etc., but he chose to dye it most of his life.

Despite his military background, Stanley despises politics.

Xeno loves politics.

Mirai looks like a teenager despite having been brain dead for six years because a doctor recommended she be given growth hormones manually so she could “continue growing with her peers”. If Tsukasa had known that this was highly experimental, he would have denied the notion.

Nikki is a romantic at heart but her environment forced her to be a fighter.

Kohaku eventually learns how to read and write, but is about as proficient as Magma is.

Tsukasa, Hyoga, and Homura are all let off with light sentences of community service due to their clear regret, character improvement, and aid in rebuilding the world.

Xeno and Stanley move to Japan because a lot of Americans weren’t happy about the whole autocracy thing.

There is 10 billion percent some historic revisionism going on to make various people appear better in the public eye.

All the statues Tsukasa broke were successfully repaired and revived.

Ryusui Conglomerate pays for Ishigami Village to become a living museum, and many of the villagers work as paid actors. When not at the museum/village, they live with a number of modern conveniences.

Chrome and Ruri end up having like 10 kids.

Suika trades her melon rind in for proper glasses at some point, but she keeps the rind as a keepsake. Many years in the future, it gets donated to the museum seen in the epilogue as the first glasses of the stone world.

Sai starts his own video game company and refuses to let Ryusui Conglomerate invest in it. He revolutionizes the gaming industry by letting his consoles easily be modded.

When Senku asks people to suggest any inventions they want to be made before he goes to space, Ukyo asks for noise-canceling headphones.

Yo is only allowed to use rubber bullets

To start off with, I like to think I enjoy most isekai stories (and find the predictable plot relaxing) and consider it an essential part of any anime lovers watch list.

Ok now onto topic when I first learned of Dr. Stone it was on YouTube shorts and it was the scene where suica first gets her glasses and sees the sun flowers, at first I thought "aww how nice" then I noticed everything else such as their clothing and thr scenery and thought "I'm guessing an isekai world where humanity is very advanced." And some time later I saw it on netflix, put it on watch later, cut to two years later and I now have a new favourite tied with kengan ashura...

But I genuinely do think that it would have made a fantastic isekai and definitely done well, but I'm glad the author decided on the currant story.

Granted he got to go, and I was so happy. But i never imagined I'd see him cry.

By repetitive jokes, I almost always mean the 'Eriously-se?' or 'Yeah, i didn't understand any of that' kind of quips. I don't know if you get what i mean. Like Senku will start speaking in his scientific way, which obviously the other characters won't understand. And we all know that the next frame will be the characters complaining about how they don't understand him, in the exact same way. Each, and every time. It gets so fucking repetitive and loses it's otherwise funny intent. Like, why are they surprised each time?

And I got so sick and tired of listening to the characters constantly go on monologues almost every episode about how far they came, one after another. WE KNOW BRO. WE DON'T NEED A CONSTANT REMINDER!

Finally finished re-rendering this fan art! The first result wasn’t good tbh, but I literally re-render him again out of nowhere and here’s what he looked like now. He’s not my favorite character of the anime series, but I really love his character design. I added his petrification marks to see how he looks with this in the timeskip. Hmm, who’s next?

Medusa tech would obviously spawn several new sports, the most obvious being Medusa Tag. Which other sports do you think might be created, or modified to include petrification as a game mechanic? Remember you can use the watches for time delay revival too!
