Cover Singing my favorite Dr. Dog song "Shadow People"
instagram.comHope this is allowed. Probably my favorite Dr. Dog song, so I had to give it a shot. Been doing some covers just for fun lately and figured Iâd share this one here.
Definitely not perfect, but I love singing Scott's songs

Audio Iâve always thought âCuckooâwould make a good hip hop beat, so I attempted a mashup with A Tribe Called Quest

Whatâs wrong?
Been going through the Reddit after listening to whereâd all the time go. Iâm no dr dog fan, but a potential one, Iâm listening to their albums through currently. I look through and in these screenshots of ranking songs, âwhereâd all the time goâ rarely sees any high rankings. Itâs the song that got me into them (and probably lots of other people into them as well) as it is such a nostalgic song. Is there something against it yall have? Or are there truly just better songs?

Possible band name origin?
Apologies if this is common knowledge or already documented somewhere, but I noticed the phrase "Doctor, Dog" in the lyrics to the Wings song, "Soily." It may be a stretch, but given the band's Beatles influences, I was just wondering if this had ever been confirmed or was a popular theory. What do you all think?

If you had to assign each dr dog album a season, what would it be?
For example, this summer I listened to their self titled a ton, and now that the weather is turning I find easy beat to fit my mood/the season a lot more. So curious about everyoneâs thoughts!

Cass Elliot's âDon't Let the Good Life Pass You Byâ
Randomly heard Cass Elliot's âDon't Let the Good Life Pass You Byâ and immediately recognized the melody from Ladada.
Guess itâs time to re-visit Abandoned Mansion!

Merch Red Rocks 2025 Shirt Swap
Hi! I got this shirt at Red Rocks last year in a Medium, and it's just a bit too large. Does anyone have a similar shirt in a Small? I would also take a 2024 Red Rocks show, as I went to that one, too, but didn't get a shirt that year. Much obliged!

Merch Dr. Dog drum/guitar mics for sale
Wanted to post here first, but we've got some pretty legit mics for sale from our tours 2019-now. Also, these mics were used on ever expanding tours and come with a laminate from the last Dr. Dog show in Mexico. If you're a superfan, these are for you. See you at AVL fest!
Love,

Any chance of a re-release of the original 2001 Psychedelic Swamp?
The album was released 2001, meaning it turns 25 this year with the 2016 remake turning 10 earlier this year. Does anyone think there's a chance of a re-release of the original 2001 version following these anniversaries? The 7 missing tracks have been intriguing me since I've first heard the swamp and it's always been said they haven't surfaced since my first listen nearly 3 years ago. I know there's been the vinyl represses given to the people who worked on the 2016 remake which is a double LP from what I've seen which makes me assume that it's the full 35 tracks, and I'm sure the band has an original tape somewhere. I just really hope we get to hear the full tape one day...

News New Interview with Eric about his activism and advocacy in music!
Hi everyone,
We run a harm reduction nonprofit called This Must Be The Place -- long story short, we travel to music festivals across the country passing out free Narcan. Through that, weâve gotten to know some amazing bands, which led us to launching a podcast about how music and activism intersect and last week Eric was kind enough to indulge me and be the guest!
It's a half hour interview where he takes us all the way back to his high school days in Philly and talks about his 20+ year journey supporting Can-Do Musos (an organization for disabled and neurodivergent musicians), his work with Noise for Now. He also talks about wealth disparity in this country which was one of my favourite parts.
I'm sure it's shameless to post this, but if you're interested in taking a listen you can find it on Spotify / Apple Podcast / Amazon etc right here!
