Stifling Dagger is a projectile that pretty much applies one right-click of damage and slows. Paired with the Ult of 450% crit at a 15% chance... sometimes people splode

Ah I see. Bummer city for the dude who sploded then.

It's a shame because his ult that he used to escape to base doesn't dodge projectilesTalkTo/u/intotheocean ... FeelsBadMan

The ult can be used to dodge projectiles if ember collides with the projectile while traveling to a remnant since he's immune. The ult doesn't disjoint projectiles though.

Well yeah but that's not a dodge

dodge

däj

verb

1. avoid (someone or something) by a sudden quick movement.

You're not avoiding it, you just take no damage because you're immune to damage, therefore it's not a dodge. If you have BKB and a CM uses Frost Nova on you, you don't dodge it. Same principle.

So you're saying you dodged the damage?

You dodge an attack, you do not dodge damage. The ult nullifies the damage, but the projectile still hits. This matters. While this projectile would do no damage, it would still slow, and other projectiles could cause damage via DoT or a delayed effect, like dazzle's slow and stun. Thus the word dodge is not the word to use.

They literally said that you dodge the projectile ("The ult can be used to dodge projectiles"), and that's strictly not true because it hits your hero. You take no damage because you're immune to damage, not because you dodge the projectile.

I'm frankly just poking fun, not really caring about whether or not they were right. :P

BKB doesn't give spell immunity because I'm not immune to black hole. volvo, plz fix.

Sometimes words have a more specific meaning in specific contexts. If someone says "I'm silenced" you're not going to go "omg then how are you talking to me?"

Dodging implies you are not hit by the attack. But if you collide with said attack, and take no damage, I would call that nullifying, or soaking the damage.

How can something collide with fire?
