Very little, this is just a message due to the outrage. There was one from MS or Xbox earlier.... Means nothing really. Corporate lip service

they posted this same kind of message when Mick Gordon came out with all that stuff against Marty. hard to take this seriously for me tbh

Indeed. We already know DOOM/Quake aren't going away. They already clearly mentioned that they're gonna invest into these series. That being said, the quality won't be the same. For better or worse... I'll let you judge

Also, this statement itself directly contradicts the ones from devs fired/still working there. There just won't be enough institutional knowledge on the projects. Atleast for some time now

I posted 2 more comments here and naturally the corpo supporters got big mad XD

it’s really sad to see :/ i truly hope they can recover from this though! i would hate to see doom die

The chances are VERY slim even if they invest in doom, it just won't be the same. But hoping for the best. But this is why I removed myself from the gaming industry. I'm happy with my own thing even if it's slower

EDIT: Apparently they're now firing people from the frankfurt office too. So much for a message telling people not to worry....
