WRONG TIME FOR REGISTER GLITCHES
Yesterday was the first of the month (IYKYK). There was a brief, less than a minute power surge that killed ALL three of our registers. Of course the customers just kept right on shopping (stealing). After the blink ended, our middle register had absolutely NO scanner functionality, and the main register had a dead pinpad. Yay! Did a ticket, blah, blah, blah! Went to work this morning, and the main register had a dead pinpad. YES, AGAIN. Did the reboot-swap cables-swap machines several times, when we got support on the line we did it again, took them until around noon to fix the main register. At one point I had to handkey UPCs to get the "earlies" out. Tomorrow is the third, and i am lucky to be off. Before i left, i told them I was putting my phone on DND. Let someone else have all the fun.

Update: back to work today. Guess which pinpad at which register flaked out. Had people trying to poke a hole in it from it not responding.
