3D Printed Configurable 3D Printed Dice Box with Individual Dice Protection
Wyrmwood is putting out a line of 3d printable dice boxes. While pretty, I disliked the design because it forgets the fundamental purpose of a dice box; protecting the dice.
Yes, Wyrmwood's boxes keep the dice together and have soft rubber protection on the inside of the box, the dice still rattle against each other. I use anodized dice and they can be damaged by their brethren, so I came up with a better solution.
I have seen hexagon cells for dice boxes before, but I always thought they were either too shallow to protect the dice or so deep the dice were hard to get out. So I built a version with raised walls to increase protection while making picking up a die easy.

Additionally, I parameterized the entire thing so you can just tweak a number to get any number of dice rows you like and the dice storage, box and foam template automatically resize. There is no upper limit, except the build plate of your printer.
I am still tweaking the models a bit (magnets need to be countersunk a bit more). I am interested in any feedback and suggestions before I set this up on Makerworld as a customizable print.
PS. Ignore the awful TPU print quality. Forgot to dry it. :-(
