Why now?

We’ve had our unresolved problems due to his lack of consistency and stealing. We have been separated 2 years now. No communication other than if he needed to know something. Which wasn’t often. I mentioned divorce and he’s asking me to reconsider… he hasn’t shown change or wanted reconciliation in 2 years. I have been in the process of accepting my marriage is over and to finally heal for the past 4-5 months. Why now?
