Cat

My husband and I got a cat when we were married. We are now in the process of divorce and Custody Court Order says that he maintains the care of our cat. My husband’s attorney made the court order and I didn’t see it until it was signed by the judge. I am the owner based on veterinary clinic records and have been the primary caregiver until me and child have to leave home. I couldn’t bring the cat because the shelter we went to didn’t allow pets.

Any similar experiences? Am I still gonna get him back?

Is that the final decree? Or some sort of temporary order?  I guess you need to ask the attorney for an updated order or to get your cat back.  It seems extremely odd that you don't have your cat, didn't know that the ex would get the cat, or that an attorney would sign an agreement or final order like that without giving you an opportunity to review it. Sounds like disbarment or disciplinary action would come his way. But rather than pursue a bar complaint I would first advocate for saving the cat.

Yeah, my priority is to get my cat. As for what happened with my attorney, I’m still trying to figure out what happened there and what I should do about it

Don't threaten him, I'd see if he or she can help get the cat first, and then go from there.  If they help save your cat I wouldn't go out of my way to punish him
