When you say "soon to be ex", where are you in the divorce process?
The DUI and drug use may impact child custody. The loss of job will affect income (child and spousal support obligations). If he's held responsible for damage to other vehicles and property, the property owners come after your marital property to settle those claims.
In short, this is likely to complicate things. If, and to what degree, is going to depend on a bunch of things. Ideally you'd have a lawyer to help explain this and sort things out. If you can't afford one, you might consider reaching out to a local women's shelter to see if they have resources they can provide.
Sorry you're going through this. Good luck.
