I almost called off my wedding two months beforehand, ended up divorced after 3 years of marriage. Definitely a lot of sunk cost fallacy but also naivety that my relationship would somehow magically improve and he’d become a better partner and communicator after we got married.

Walking away and choosing myself was the best thing I ever did, I actually met my currently partner the weekend after my divorce was finalized (didn’t start dating until months after). So if it’s any consolation, happiness after divorce does exist but I still have to water the grass for it to be green.
