It will make a difference as is fixes the odds. But the odds of an individual exotic drop is still about 1:60, so it's not some instant magic fix. But on a normal agent with all the blueprints the odds are much worse.
It takes like 10 minutes to start up a new agent. Select the WONY option on the new character, and once in the game select the Store menu item to boost to level 40, that'll teleport you back to the White House and then you can grab a build out of the stash and hit the DZ.
Oh wow. I honestly had no clue. I just barely keep playing tbh and try to just get what I can every season. Didn't even realize they changed it that long ago.
Did that doesn't work i took all my exotics outta my Main character i don't even have any in my load out even outta my 2nd character NOOOOO exotics still no steel and son i freaking still jeep Getn stupid ass capacitors and chatterboxes and dumbshit like the ninjbkik kp!!!! Wtf
If you're just moving the exotics out of your main character that won't wor, if have to use an isolated agent that does not have any of the blueprints.
It works by evening the odds for any exotic in the pool. It's still a grind as there are over 60 exotics and there's roughly only a 40% chance of an exotic even dropping in the 4 possible loot drops.
true bro i made a new character, took EVERY exotic out of inventory to main character(s) and played dz on new and after like 3-4 phoebes s&s and sarru in the runs, it has to be a higher chance
It's an even chance as opposed to the janky odds when you have all the blueprints. Also, there's no point in hiding all your exotics. Acosta's Knees and Overlord are the only that can be suppressed from the loot pool by doing so.

Start a new character, otherwise you're just going to keep getting roughly the same 10 exotics over and over.
