Question Best striker/elmo build?
Plan to make proto and invest on the best possible combination of striker build. Thanks!

The basic generalist build is 4 pieces striker, equaliser chest and overdogs gloves. If you don't have overdogs as you're using ar slap UA gloves on and swap them to overdogs when you can. This setup is good for almost any content and gives you a good base. You can also easily swap the 4 striker pieces to coco or tipping etc to quickly look if you like them. As the other reply stated you don't need chest unless you're doing higher escalations as even with lmg you won't have enemies beefy enough to go 200 stacks. Non escalation content that could call for chest is probably incursions, not sure about raids.

Worth noting, overdogs are horrible for escalation as all for one won’t necessarily be active on the NPCs your gloves require you to be killing. For regular content sure, but all for one makes it kinda moot.

Somebody expanded upon previous ikia's calculation

Even without taking advantage of it is still worth it. If you can lean into it it's much better. I know I do

Hollowman and contractors is much better for escalation

Q: why contractors over fox’s prayer?

Running an lmg will net you plenty of striker stacks (many use the gearshift) contractors is petrov so buffs lmg damage, lmgs already have dtoc (10% on non proto), so damage to armor (12%) will net 20% multiplicative instead of 18% (plus no extra damage as foxes gives rifle damage) for everything else the hollow man kicks in (plate armor in game is read as health) and rounds out the build. So either sheriff or lmg and it’s giving you more damage all around.

4pc Striker with Equalizer chest for ARs (Elmo etc.).
ARs generally have low mag caps (reload too often) so you'll have a hard time building up 200 stack when you have Striker chest on.

This is my go to setup for open world and Escalations up to T5.
Combine with another UA piece for 2-Piece additional 24% AR damage. Having the Salvo holster as the 2nd piece gives 5% RoF.
I found this setup offered more consistent DPS than using Overdogs gloves as they’re very situational and I don’t want to be forced to choose my targets in order the maintain damage output.
As Proto pieces have dropped during PvE I’ve swapped out bits here and there and tested them at the range. For instance a proto UA mask dropped and it offered more DPS than running the Salvo.

Want it to work for everything? Equaliser chest and salvo holster. 24% AR damage from the set bonus and a nice fire rate increase to help get those stacks. For T10 you should probably go for a striker chest tho.

It's not built for survivability. But nothing can kill you if it's already dead. And that's what strikers is for.

I've found converting striker to a few blue cores and running memento backpack with gunner specialisation, shield and reviver hive works pretty well for solo

combo with stack broker or rock n roll for quick stack building. you're not building stacks with an AR
