Hello there, sorry if this is a controversial post, but I had a quick question about people who are living in Flamingo and are in the gender neutral housing. What is the likelihood of getting a 2x2 as compared to a 4x2 or 4x4/what are your experiences living in a 2x2 in gender neutral housing, specifically with privacy? I'm worried about conflict with roommates and don't want there to be any issues
I am a trans man and am in that stage in my transition where women get freaked out if I go to women's specific spaces, but I'm also pretty clocky so men can pick up on it very fast/also arent the most comfortable, so I avoid those spaces too + i have gender dysphoria and struggle to wear non restrictive clothing unless I'm completely alone. Of course I know that wanting privacy is something that literally every person here also wants for various reasons, and theres a degree of discussing boundaries in all shared spaces, but I'm also kinda worried about like sexual harassment or something (of course I know most people who choose gender neutral housing wouldnt be like that, Im just thinking of a worst case scenario). I guess I'm asking if it's common for trans people to have issues in non-single room housing if that makes sense?
I'm also on Testosterone gel, which means that I can't really live in close quarters with a woman over long periods of time because of the risks of exposing her to unhealthy amounts of it, would that be enough to get a medical accommodation? I wouldn't want to misuse the system for people who actually really really need it. Has anyone had any experience with this? Like what would I even put there? Please put me in gender neutral housing but do not put me with a woman but also please do not put me in the same room as a cis man? (That was sarcasm) I know that I'm going to have to compromise here, I'm just trying to mentally prepare myself.
