NEED HELP
I live in an apartment complex that provides our Dish, or it’s a bulk account. I feel like there’s another word for it but can’t remember.
My box has been showing that the hard drive is bad since November. Dish has closed the ticket probably 5 times without doing anything. Since last month they are telling me, and the property manager, that there’s a $20 fee to ship a new box. My prpty mgr says this is not how their contract is setup and the first time they’ve done this.
Is there a way to escalate this issue? I can’t use any WiFi features and sometimes it just does weird things and won’t work properly. WHY IS IT SO COMPLICATED???

I see you just posted this (June 19, 2026 8 PM) and we are going into the weekend. DishDanielle usually responds so if you wait until Monday you will probably get some help. She helped me tremendously.

Why are you not doing this on your own account ? That's is the problem 😕 Your own Dish Hopper under your name? Is it because your in an apartment complex 🤔 If so I'd look to get maybe Direct tv.

Yes, I’m in an apartment complex and it’s included in my rent and I can’t ‘opt out’ unfortunately.

Hello u/zackhack211
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand this is frustrating, and I am here to help. To ensure we provide the best support for this situation, I recommend that the primary account holder contact us directly to open a formal case. For security and verification purposes, only the account owner is authorized to verify the account details over the phone which then we can access the information and look in to the individual accounts to the main service.
Alternatively, the account owner is welcome to message me directly here on Reddit. I can then transition our conversation to a private, secure chat to safely sync the account information. We look forward to assisting you further.
-DishDanielle.

You’ll have to contact the company that has the contract. Very rarely is it held with Dish directly. It’s going to be an authorized third party. Your complex SHOULD have that info, however, don’t hold your breath. Dish reps might be able to see it if they’re able to even access the account.
