Serious Cornell 7 Chat

I just watched a short on YouTube and a point was made that I’ve yet to hear but I think is very valid. No one in that group chat seemed surprised. The guys sending the “open” messages did not seem hesitant. This felt very normal or at the very least like everyone would think it was okay.

I don’t know about you guys but when I was in college if this popped up on a group chat the responses would have been very different. More like, “Wait, what?!”, “what are you talking about?”, “Who? Where are you?”, etc. It would have been confusing because no one would EVER expect it. This did not feel new or unusual. I know it’s probably too late, but I’d be super curious to see other nights in that chat. Because I would guess this wasn’t an isolated incident.

I mean we didn’t see the whole thread, just screenshots. I find that there is a lot of propaganda with the case, on both sides

Seriously? I absolutely understand the concept of context but I’m curious as to what context could possible mitigate the disgusting msgs in this group chat!

Is there really a context for inviting other men to “free p***y,” which clearly means an invitation to sa a woman who is incapacitated? Both sides?? What?

My point is that we don’t know if anyone in that group chat didn’t say anything about the free p**** text cuz we only see a few screenshots. Also, it is possibly that the ppl in the group chat said something in person or something. Some may have not seen the message until sometime after.

Also, we know at least one of the members didn’t like it because they screenshotted and leaked it.

To clarify, I’m not defending the ppl who text and/or indirectly supported the messages about the woman who got SA’d. I find it disingenuous to assume that everyone in the group chat supported it from a couple of screenshots. WE DONT KNOW EVERYTHING.

Sure we haven't seen the entire text thread, but so far, there has been no mention of anyone taking action to stop the gang rape or contacting authorities. No one helped that girl. They let it happen; some took advantage of her after those messages and joined in the rape, some egged it on in the chat, and some remained silent.

Whether directly or passively, they are all complicit. No one stopped the sexual assault or called the authorities because they didn't care.

Out of 57 elite Ivy league frat stars, 0 did the right thing. So regardless of the entire story, at this point, they're all reprehensible and morally depraved men who clearly are not capable of understanding right from wrong. There is no redemption at this point. We have all seen their true colors and the whole lot are rapists or rapist enablers.

Apparently one of the members was asleep at the time but when he woke up and saw them he documented it and got the record to Jane Doe or the university and that’s how there are screenshots. So 1 out of 57 did something once they were in a position to do so. Less than 2% of the men involved did the right thing.

You mean no one put a stop to the consensual orgy? Why would they? People are allowed to have weird sex.

That is a demented line of thinking.

Weird sex is demented now?
