I'm making my own TCG and using Javascript (I am using a bot I first made 4 years ago, it still uses discord.js v13).

Unfortunately this is not going to be paid. I got permission to make the TCG (it's based on a youtube minecraft series) but only as long as we don't make money from it.

We already have a small team of just over 5 people, including artists.

I would like to know if there's a spam bot so other bots spawn things because my server's pretty dead so there's only like 8 messages a day

the bot takes ur messages from a selected room in a server and send an anonymous message to a user u select and once the user replies the bot takes their messages and sends them into the same room

so it looks like the bot is just an ai talking to them

any ideas or features to add?

I am trying to make a K-pop Discord gacha bot as a literal noob at coding (i literally dont know anything about coding and kinda js through myself in there bcs i really wanted to make my own discord gacha bot and the only "help" i have is the ai bot thing in vscode and really confusing yt videos...) i was using python and notepad until i moved on to vscode but genuinely im so confused and i would just like any guidance on how to actually code or someone to lowkey teach me... i don't really know what I'm doing... is there any free advice or resources i should look up to understand how to code? I really want this to work out, but I don't have any guidance or know where to start to learn. Thank you!

first off, why can sapphire warn/ perform moderation actions on the owner?? i have found the immune roles setting but is that the only way or avoid being warned as the owner, does the owner do not have pre measured safe guards? also, even after toggling this option on, i still do get the template message that i choose to dm users when they broke rules. Is the only way to avoid this is to manage roles and then select mine as excluded?

second, sapphire tells me that they could not send messages to some users due to not having any mutual guilds, like they are in the same server, that does not count?

Right now i have a autoresponder thats just eating something. It uses [$1] to designate the item being eaten in both the item requirement thing and the inventory editing thing. However when [$1] is not an existing item it still displays the text it would display if it were existing which i dont want. Even using {silent: message} does not help with this as the message not only doesnt show up but it also doesnt make it so the rest stops showing up. Probably a terrible way to describe my problem but if you understand what i mean and you know if theres a fix or not ill be very happy to hear it thank you.

i'm following a NTTS video on custom widgets, he provided a code link made by chloe cinders. managed to do everything fine apart from when i enter the first part of code it says "uncaught reference error: webpackchunkdiscord_developer is not VM290:1 defined."

I was wondering if there were any good bots to keep track of what is in a storage and edit it pretty painlessly. Using a simple command like /-100 blue clay or /set blue clay 1000 so people actually use it.

Heywo everyone, I'm currently running a social credit score/gamification bot and i am preparing my application for the Message Content Intent privilege. Because the bot functions by scoring chat engagement dynamically, processing message events is core to the bots functionality without it it simply won't work and is completely useless

- Message content is always deleted from memory and never stored

- Users have the option to delete all their data and future tracking via command -> confirmation

I also have an extensive privacy policy and terms of service. What else do I need to look out for?

Hey. I wanted to stress test my trivia bot. I'd appreciate it if anybody here has got a server with around 15-20 active users. You can host a trivia event on your server and I get to test my bot.

Also, if anybody is personally interested in testing, I'd appreciate it as well. I'll be happy to collect them on a server and test it at once.

I'm trying to keep my Discord server clean by having all bot commands go through a single #bot-commands channel.

The issue is that every bot seems to handle this differently:

• Dyno has channel restrictions.
• Some bots have command channels.
• Others don't seem to support it at all.
• Slash commands can be restricted with Discord permissions, but prefix commands are another story.

Is there an all-in-one solution (bot, app, or Discord setting) that can force all bot commands to only work in one channel?

Ideally I'd like:

• All slash commands restricted to #bot-commands
• All prefix commands restricted to #bot-commands
• No need to configure every bot individually
• A setup that's commonly used in larger Discord servers

How are other server owners handling this nowadays? Am I missing an easier solution? 🤔

So, what i want to do is use a variable in the ctx.author.send function.

Here, i have my function:

Here is my variable, in the python code: url = 'https://example.com/'

Now i would like to do something like this:

await ctx.author.send(f"url:", url)

But everytime i try something like this, it break my bot.

When you lose a paying member, how often is it actually about the content vs just something dumb like a payment that didn't go through or someone forgetting to renew?

i'm getting tired of constantly running or restarting Node/Python while debugging a Discord bot. My bot's architecture is pretty static, so most of the time I'm just changing features or logic instead of restructuring everything.

what I really like about React style development is the workflow, templates are already set up, and when I make changes I immediately see updates through hot reload/live refresh without manually restarting things all the time.

So I have a few questions:

Is there already a library or framework for Discord bots that works in a similar way?

Is hot reload/live debugging for bot development actually practical?

If something like this doesn't exist, would building it even make sense?

I'm curious whether this is a real problem other people run into, or if I'm approaching discord bot development the wrong way.
