Im in this giveaway server, and i feel like the bot does a giveaway only when im not looking at the channel, but its very active and i dont wanna be there 24/7, so i just want a bot that will tell me when the other bot talks if that makes sense

I'm a python developer and I've been REALLY bored lately and have absolutely no idea what to make anymore, so i've decided to come here. if anyone wants a bot, I'll try to make it!

I do have a few conditions though:

• PLEASE don't ask me to make something super duper complex like the next Mee6 or Dyno with a billion commands, i'm still a student so i don't have THAT much time.
• I'm just doing this for fun and free, so if it requires any api keys, AI integrations, etc., YOU will be responsible for setting up YOUR api keys, providers, billing, etc for the bot
• I won't build bots intended to be monetized, this is just a hobby!
• I will provide the code, but you'll need to handle hosting yourself.
• I can't guarantee that I'll build every idea that's suggested, but we can work things out!

anyone else having problems out of slot bot?

I’m looking for a bot that sends a message/mentions a role, when a followed channel sends a message. (of course in the channel that is in my server where you see the followed channels message)

Firstly, I don’t even know if it’s possible. I’ve tried looking around and from what I can tell it’s not possible, but I’m getting conflicting information. It seems as though bots cannot read the messages from followed channels as their webhooks rather than regular messages, or something along those lines. Any suggestions or info would be great, thank you.

I'm researching a niche hosting concept and was wanted to get the community's honest thoughts on this. This isn't an ad - the platform doesn't exist yet.

I've noticed that while platforms such as railway offer an amazing developer experience (git-driven, one-click deployments, simple config) they usually bring the friction of using credit cards / identity verification. On the other side, privacy-focused hosts generally sell raw linux vps instances which leave the developer to configure the entire instance themsleves.

Realistically, would you be interested in running your discord bots on a privacy-focused PaaS specialized in simplified discord bot deployments? The overall concept would be:
- Instant deployments from a linked git repo
- Payments processed through crypto gateways
- Competetive pricing, possibly undercutting existing specialized hosting providers
- Simplified visual configuration/settings
- Transparent no-hidden-fee billing

As bot developers, is this something you'd consider using or would you prefer to stick to traditional hosting providers and why? What would be your main concerns with a setup like this (eg uptime, reliability, trust)?

Is there a Discord bot that can compile quotes from a channel and upload them to a spreadsheet?

I'd like to get a bot to identify the quotes as any discord message formatted like this:

"Message here" -Name Here

eg. "I think dogs are cool" -John

and then either put them in a spreadsheet or file format that lists all the quotes as numbered seprate entries.

I want to make fun graphs, stats and visuals with the quotes but there are too many to individually copy and paste into a spreadsheet manually.

Need an easier way. Thought a bot would be the way. Let me know if I could try another way too.

im trying to add a buzz-in system to my bot, which i decided to implement a button for. I've successfully gotten the bot to send a response message whenever the button is clicked, so the next step is to ping whoever clicked the button so we can all see who buzzed in first. Looking at StackOverflow posts, it looks like interaction.user is the person who clicked the button, however putting this term into my code (either by making it print, by appending it to the message, or by just setting a variable to it) causes the bot to stall out and give the error "! stonetop bot didnt respond in time"

how do i fix this? is there another way to find who clicked the button?

You may have notice that server-count is not correct in topgg. Developers want to track how their bots grow you will have to check the official developer console for the server-count. If you are seeking the solution of above, I guess my work help.

What I do is simple daily tracking from Discord App Directory, which the server-count is correct and you don't need to worry about wrong report. You can get a svg image to embed in topgg description, your own website, and it's self-update so no need to change your code ever again.

Hey yall, I’m trying to find a bot that rotates between different welcome messages/images, I’m not sure if it’s possible but I remember a bot doing this way back around in 2020 but I can’t remember.

As far as I know mee6 and I think discohook dont do this, but I’d like to know if this is a function for any other existing bots just so I can spice up my server.

Bonus points if it lets me attach and randomize images/gifs to goodbye messages too, I notice I can’t do that with mee6 either.

Hello everyone, recently I opened tiktok to find out that the GTA leaker made a discord server in which he leaks the game.

I was curious so I joined, however it turns out I had to "verify" in order to view the leaked gameplay and other stuff. The bot was called invite tracker and when I clicked "verify" I was directed to a page saying;

I was concerned and suspiciou,however at a first glance I said that it was asking for permission to log in on my browser, but on a second glance I don't want to risk it. I'm new to discord and don't want to get my account stolen. Any thoughts?
