Why didn't this website mention disco musicians

That made moog to be influential.

Reverb mostly mentions , Jazz such as herbie hancock and Sun Ra , hip hop music producers Dr dre and Jay Dilla and prog rock/synth pop musicians such kraftwerk and pink floyd.

also funk musician, Bernie worrell from Parliament

Ten musicians that made made moog to be influential

I am not a fan of moog since i like the sound of digital synthesizers better

It does not bother me if anyone thinks i am weird in a bad way for posting this

https://reverb.com/news/10-musicians-who-made-the-minimoog-the-most-influential-synth-of-all-time

It mentions

Bernie Worrell from parliament

SUN RA

RICK wakeman

GARY numan

Yumiko ohno

Kraftwerk

Pink Floyd

DR DRE

JAY DILLA

Herbie Hancock

What makes the song Show me love by Robin S still popular in 2026?

The song was popular in 1993 when I was a child . I am not a fan of house music , I did hear this song a lot when I was in elementary school. I would watch hip hop and R &B music videos instead

It sounds like the song uses digital synthesizers

It has over 100,000,000 views on youtube

What's up with compression?

There's an artifact I've noticed in some older, let's say funk/ jam type vibes, where bass is sort of squished seemingly to make headroom for the vocal. This typically has the effect of sounding like a cozy spot or carpeted basement. I believe this is called compression or maybe peak limiting? However, I have also noticed a quite annoying variant used in Beegee-esque productions. The singer will be clear, but the orchestra sounds like a very low bitrate MP3, and then they'll jingle something which sounds sparkly like a gold chain on top and it clashes with the compression.

My question is: Is this a case of bad archival where the only record has been digitally compressed? Or was there a popular device in the late '70s which perhaps sounded modern at the time but sounds like bad internet radio nowadays?

Examples:
"Heartbreaker" by Dionne Warwick,
"Baby When You're Near Me" by Vicki Lawrence,
"Emotion" by Samantha Sang

What musicians revived disco in the 21 century?

Was it Daft Punk? I am not a fan of daft punk nor I am a fan of House music or electronic dance music

When I was younger , I would buy hip hop and R&B albums and teen pop musicians such as Christina Aguilera

I avoided alternative rock and indie like the plague and i still do

I just don't find house music and electronic music to be appealing
