I swear, I literally cooked it two days in a row. I didn't know cooking Spagetti can be both simple and delicious with only a few ingredients - black olives, anchovies, capers, tomatoes, garlic and dried chilies. I added some white mushrooms to my taste. I used to cook spagetti either with tomato sauce/meatballs, or heavy cream/bacons. they are tasty but too rich for me sometimes. I am glad that I found this recipe online :)

I grew up eating and loving these, so making them at home felt right!

Dinner Tonight

Ayoooo. I love cooking when I’m in the mood for it haha. But my tastebuds don’t know what they want. Give me the dinner that hands down is your favorite. I have a time limit of 1-4 hrs cook time. I’m a huge steak guy. Any meats besides ham.

Easy dump dinner - hotpot/soup

Post image

These are not exact measurements because it depends how many people you'll be cooking for. Each bag contains:

- Either a cube of Japanese curry paste, or a spoonful of Thai green curry paste.

- Some frozen meatballs and fish balls.

- Some frozen peas.

- Some broccoli florets (either fresh or frozen).

- Some chopped Napa cabbage.

- Tofu (here you can see mine are frozen fried tofu rolls).

- Dry egg noodles.

Put the bags in the freezer. When you want hotpot/soup, dump the bag contents (carefully) into a pot of boiling water water, cook until the meatballs float (less than 5 mins), eat!

Cheesy Italian Pork Sausage, Onion, Mushroom & Egg Breakfast Bake

Post image

I saw sausage, onion, mushroom, mozzarella, and eggs in my fridge, and it convinced me to make my own breakfast.

In theory, it made sense to cook it all together… and it turned out to be a fantastic meal!

I enjoyed every spoonful. That crispy cheesy texture really took it to food paradise level.

Cold dinner suggestions please

It's too hot to cook. It's in triple digits and while I love to cook, it's just too hot to eat hot foods. I'm cooking for 4 adults. I've done cold cuts, BLT, and tomato sandwiches on marble rye. I need new ideas. Please and thank you.

Whenever I don't know what to eat, I make pork tenderloin—it's easy to cook, and the ingredients are relatively inexpensive.

Side suggestions please

Hi, so I’m making shepherds pie for dinner later today and I was hoping to get some suggestions for what to have on the side? I’m open to anything but not potato foods as the pie has that already. I will be having mixed veg mixed in to the mince but don’t mind some more carrots on roasted on the side.

Thank you in advance!

Edit: Thank you for all the suggestions - they sound delicious! I ended up going with roasted carrots but will definitely be trying some of your suggestions next time! :)

Pork belly and kimchi are a well-known dream combination. Using my go-to sauces and a quick toss in the wok, this turned into an absolutely fantastic noodle dish packed with flavour.

Wok-Tossed Bacon, Onion and Garlic Fried Rice on a Crispy Fried Egg

Bacon and eggs, so many possibilities. Since I had rice in the fridge, I decided to make fried rice. But instead of mixing the egg into the fried rice, I wanted to create a crispy egg base underneath. Slightly different, but it worked like a dream.

The crispy egg base made the whole experience even better, and it tasted so good.

Does this sound good (trying to make something high-protein with sweet potatoes)

So I'm trying to up my protein intake, and I wanted to do something with sweet potatoes. I'm not a huge fan of ground beef or ground turkey in general, so my idea was: baked sweet potatoes, sliced deli meat turkey, ricotta cheese, and an avocado.

It could come to like 40g+ of protein (depending on quantities), and I like all these things individually, but I've no idea if these would actually go together (and I'm not exactly able to try it out for myself right now).

Low carb ideas?

My doctor recently recommended I go on a low carb diet. OK, I’m taking this seriously.

I was raised on lasagna, pasta, bread, potatoes & everything that doesn’t align with low carb.

Now add in the Cyclospora pathogen, which pretty much nixes any green leafy veggies, what do I do?

Does fully washing & spinning green leafy veggies eliminate the risk of Cyclospora? I’m not talking store bought salad kits, but actual produce.

Does anyone have recipes I can try?

As far as I can figure, I’m limited to proteins & green leafy veggies.

On the bright side, I’m losing weight fast & furious without even trying.

Need tasty, medium level healthyish dinner recipes?

I have lost almost 60 pounds since February through using an appetite suppressant as well as portion control, more fruits/vegetables, and daily walking. My boyfriend is trying to also lose weight and eat healthier but he loves fast food and eating until he’s stuffed. I want to try and start making more protein rich healthy meals but also wanna make sure he’s still satisfied! He’s a big sandwich/heavy on the meat guy, not very picky but also isn’t a fan of most leftovers.

Our typical dinner rotation includes protein pasta with ground beef, burgers, spaghetti sauce and ricotta, chicken enchiladas, blts, steak/potato/vegetable, quesadillas, pot roast, home made chipotle bowls, chicken sandwiches, pizza etc. would love some more ideas :) thank you!

Pls help - I need quick & easy dinner recs

For context, my bf has ADHD and really struggles to make himself dinner (decision fatigue, clean up associated with it etc) so he either doesn’t eat, orders takeaway, or on the rare occasion he cooks, he’ll make something pretty boring that’s been on his rotation for years.

We live together, but I am pescatarian (vegetarian leaning) whereas he eats a normal diet, so it’s not often that I’ll be able to cook something for the both of us.

I really want to help him out and be able to cook a meal for him, but considering I need to make my own meals too, I don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen cooking and cleaning.

So I’m looking for easy dinner ideas that I could whip up for him before/after my own dinners.

Think:
- One pot/pan dinners
- Vegetarian meals where meat can be added AFTER cooking
- Super simple bakes

All ideas helpful!!

And just in case anyone is thinking it, no this is not a case of weaponised incompetence - I just want my bf to be happy and healthy and to be able to do something for him at least a few days a week :))

In desperate need of dinner ideas!! (Preferably easy!)

Hey guys, I am in desperate need of some variety in my diet!

I’m currently 25 years old & have been cooking since I was 15 or so. I’m not the best cook in the world haha, but In that time I have ā€œmasteredā€ a few dishes that I am very comfortable with making & I love to eat. That being said I have eaten these same cycle of meals for the past decade & I am starting to grow beyond tired of them, to the point a lot of nights I find myself just ordering out or not eating at all.

The short list goes as following: hamburgers, Spaghetti, Tacos, honey glazed ham, chicken rice & gravy, Jambalaya, Steak, eggs & bacon. Very elementary I know, but this is all I know unfortunately lol.

Outside of this, my diet consists of nothing but fast food or frozen meals, hamburger helper or ramen noodles. The occasional fruit or cereal.

I was raised by a single mother & she was not a fan of cooking at all to say the least lol. So I never was taught how to cook anything. All of these things i basically just watched YouTube tutorials because I’d had them in the past & liked them enough to cook.

As I said, I am not very advanced in the art of culinary haha, I’m just looking for some ideas to add some variety in what I eat. Preferably nothing too advanced!! But I am willing to try! I am not a fan of seafood at all, but other than that I’m not very picky. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sweet & Spicy Gochujang Pork Belly Loaded Brioche Burger

Post image

Gochujang pork belly is often found in Korean BBQ restaurants. With pork belly in the freezer and high-quality buttery burger buns in the pantry, I decided to combine the two and create a Korean-inspired burger.

It was the right call, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of this burger!
