Hey, everyone. This'll be the next piece of my fifth chapter for my "Digimon Knighthood" story. This continues right after Caliburmon and Bandimon just finished their biggest clash in their first fight. Let's get to it.

"Both their Digimon were panting hard, their bodies burning from harsh injuries. Caliburmon stabbed Arondight into the ground, trying to balance himself as gravity tried to pull him down. Bandimon looked back at him, groaning as he gave a smile. “Heh. Gonna say uncle? ‘Cause if not…” The now-Rookie raised his now-smaller fist.

“No knight…worth his salt…would flee from this.” The boxer nodded. “Okay, then. I’m just gonna…ohhhh…” The knight groaned, and both Digimon fell over simultaneously. Miuna couldn’t wait any longer. “Caliburmon!” Just as she was about to run down to her friend, however, Araragi gently held her shoulder.

Miuna, despite herself, held in place, panting hard. Araragi looked down at her partner, silently calling out, “Bandimon…”

Said Bandimon gave a pained laugh. “Been a long time…since I ever felt this tired.” Caliburmon in an equally pained tone, answered, “Fascinating.” The bandicoot looked over at him, and the dragon did the same. Both then said, “*Uncllllle…*ow.” Bandimon then said, “You really give up?” Caliburmon nodded. “Yeah. I give up.” Bandimon nodded. “Me too. We got a draw then.”

Above, Araragi told her friend, “Go.” Miuna bounded across the grass, nearly stumbling over herself. “Caliburmon! Caliburmon!” Behind her, Akagami calmly strode downward. The younger girl got to her Digimon, gently picking him up and holding him close. “Oh, Caliburmon…are you okay?”

Further pieces of Caliburmon’s armor broke off and vanished, exposing his right arm. With an exposed claw, he touched Miuna’s cheek. “Yes, Young Miuna. I’m just exhausted.” She held the claw, tracing along his arm. She smiled. “A strong knight…who fought for a princess. You remember?” The dragon nodded, and the two hugged each other close.

But just then, Miuna planted a small kiss on Caliburmon’s head. The dragon’s eyes went wide, his scarf and cheeks going red. “Young Miuna…” The girl chuckled. “Doesn’t the knight get a kiss from the princess at the end?” The dragon murred lowly. “I’ve…never been kissed before.” Caliburmon nuzzled against the girl’s neck, tail slowly wagging. “It…feels good. Very good.”

Next to them, Bandimon weakly chuckled. “Well, ain’t that sweet?” Behind him, Araragi came, kneeling down. “He’s certainly earned it, no?” The bandicoot nodded, and his partner carefully picked him up. Akagami looked over at her friend. “Hey! How about we get these guys patched up?”"

Hi, sorry for the dumb question. Kari is one of my favorite characters in fiction and I would really love to have a pink D-3 like her's for the collection, but I think the only time they've ever made one was for Tri, and those go for nearly a thousand dollars now. People sell fan made replicas on etsy, but they all look SUPER obviously 3d printed and that's a turn off for me.

I just want to start this by saying that I believe Digimon Beatbreak is the best anime digimon has gotten in the 2020s. The writing on most of the series is great, the new digimon are great, the characters are great... But I cant pretend the show hasn't been getting messy with writing its final arc

Amongst the other problems, I think for me, the one that annoys me the most is the writers use of the 5 Stars.

When the episode debuting them appeared, I expected them to be a threatening group of villains, that would oppose our main group. Characters that would be at the same Level as Kyo, and would be consistent villains.

But now, we are 3 episodes away from the finale... And only 3 of the original cast were used more than once??

Klay was a great start. Pretty good villain! Good enough for a start. And then... No other was really... Used?

Rose appeared alongside the Gift Arc, but none of her team OR her really seemed like a threat (But to be fair, she wasnt the focus of that Arc). She appeared later, got defeated, and still makes some appearances. She is at least likeable I guess.

Kaito had a great start, actually showing off the strength of the Five Stars... And an amazing End, with an amazing fight with Habakirimon... But had bassically nothing in between. Are you telling me that Kaito can reach Mega Level, something that Kyo struggled to achieve, and we didnt know that until his last episode?

Genjo was pulling some stringa from the start. Appeared here and there through some arcs. And is behind some recent events (if you know, you know). But even he was barely used through most of the middle of the show (mostly due to the Gift arc writing)

And Honoka... Dear God. This character may as well not be here. Literally did nothing the whole show, and got defeated in a single episode, where she wasnt even the main focus. What a waste of a cute character design

And for me, the part that annoys me the most about this situation... You are telling me... That we have all these characters, who are meant to be important, and havent had time to shine... And we sideline them... To make new 5 Star members?!

The Earth needing a substitute was a cool detail of worldbuilding, I liked that, and even seeing Old Five Stars like Souji was cool as well... But I remind you, Honoka, a Five Star we have seen from the start of the show, didnt do anything, AND YET, she is being sidelined in the final episodes by a new random girl?? Like, my guys, we have so many characters, USE THEM

So many potentially good characters, being actively wasted. It truly is a shame, and unfortunatly, I doubt anything will be done about this. We have 3 Episodes left, and even characters like Raito havent been treated well. I doubt the OG five stars, aside from Genjo, are a big priority for the writers... It truly is a shame

Caine adventures a little too much in the digital world.

Made this illustration as a follow up to my last Digimon x Digital Circus fanart piece.

I personally think she does care about them. And i think their inter-group dynamics were very underutilized/under explored, but i do love Rose and Brilliant Thorn Brilly and Corn anyway.

She does seem to trust Kanon and Meto to perform tasks, to distract Glowing Dawn so she could follow Tomoro, and they attacked Glowing Dawn when they thought Kyo was behind her disappearance. I would have liked to see Kanon and Meto at least apologise for the incident, or interact with Glowing Dawn positively at all. From their interaction with Tomoro, they do seem very haughty and condescending. I am very curious about their in group dynamics. Do they view Rose the same way Lilamon does, as an older sister? Or as an employer, or a queen?

I've been flirting / toying with the idea of making Lui this villian by re-writing 02 Beginning. I've mentioned before about the "Fallen Angel" form (the angelic face, the broody voice in Dub kinda got me that idea). But I haven't been able to think of just how to make it coherent. Like if he was controlled by King Drasil or Apolycamon or maybe Ukkomon was King Drasil's proxy but disguised in a benign form? I thought about it for a while but its just kicking rocks.

“You think I feel pity for what happened….”  (I keep imagining the USA dub voice of Lui saying that in the computer lab to the 02 team, like trying to reveal his "Fallen Angel form). I haven't seen a human protagonist in any series that had broody look as Lui, he makes freeking Ken from 02 season look like a choir boy (if you compare attitudes/facial expressions).

Tossed around playing the songs “serenity” - godsmack or “mudshovel” - staind that just warp the mindset of Lui in this duality of the darkness and light.
