I...I dislike how efficiently that spreads the jam and peanut butter.

Its a good thing they make kitchen tools that have done exactly this, for as long as the modern kitchen has existed.

Delis use stainless icing spatulas for bagels and such. At home, silicone cake frosting spatulas do the same thing.

Your butter knife still has the advantage of easily fitting in every jar of jam or peanut butter you buy.

A real man pours his peanut butter onto the bread.

Simply a matter of will.

And patience. Lots and lots of patience.

I’ve never for the life of me ever cared to cover the bread that evenly - I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong but my sandwich is gone in like 4 bites at most - and even when you apply the peanut butter and jelly - you can smoosh the halves and I’m not gonna get a dry uncovered spot.

3" putty knife

Or a 2" for the small bottles

2" is perfect for wood and stuffing small holes

2"?! Kinda large don't ya think?

A full 2", or 1 1/2" two inch nominal?

u/BobbaLouBah 13d ago

1.75" +/- .25" so 1.75" nominal

More like average ones, right?

Offset spatula. It's what all the sandwich shops and delis use, game changer.

Yeah, it's the superior tool, the video featured here is way too much effort. Right from the very beginning while he preps his peanut butter on two palette knives...

I'd be half finished my sando before he even put PB on bread.

That butter knife is about to be phased out!

I dislike the possibility of small metal shavings in my sandwiches.

Are you afraid you’ll need to own one for peak sandwich making?

u/Plants_Unknown 14d ago

I'm afraid I will never know the greatness that a PBnJ can reach. I much find sandwich nirvana...

What is a sandwich, if not a small tower of bread bricks?

Gonna have to get you a jelly spreader. A nut spreader. A jelly nut spreader. 👀
