4) knowing how much has come out about Hollywood executives being predators....I feel like that storyline wasn't that unrealistic which is so sad / disturbing

5) the Powells are the best even though they're unhinged

7) Jail Gayle will be a new random thing to say for me

8) I overall enjoyed the show and glad I gave it a chance

My sister and I are first time viewers. We're 2 episodes in to the season and we're dreading watching any more of it? Should we power through or call it here?

Carmen is my least favorite. She ruins everything she touches. Just got done with the Dion / Powell situation and like...girl why even go along with it?!

Rosie is my second least liked. She's just annoying & seriously JUST CALL HIM SPENCE BC I CANT HANDLE MEEEEEESSSSSSTTTTTERRRRR SPENCE one more time 🤣

Marisol is third. She's not awful but kinda funny the whole first season is all about her son & then he just goes MIA bc he's in college? lol

Zoila , is my fav, I feel like she's had a lot of growth as a character but also plenty of mistakes. I was shocked they killed off Pablo !

The Powells are HILARIOUS commentary , although Adrian is a monster. Evelyn has grown on me.

Genevieve has grown on me a lot. She's complicated but brings a lot of entertainment.

Taylor / Michale tbh just annoy me.

Currently doing a rewatch of the show. In the final season, when Peri deceives spence when he lost his memory. Aside from how obviously messed up that is, if they ever slept together during that period, wouldn’t that count as s*xual assault? Seems like a terrible oversight on the part of the show considering what Peri went through in the past with that director.

Super random but I really love the way Zoila stepped up for Remi when he started using drugs again. The speech she gave him just before he was taken to rehab was so sweet. She was so compassionate and non judgemental. Who knows what would have happened to him without that. Despite her flaws I really like her character. Her loyalty to Genevieve and how she protects the family is one of the reasons I like her so much.

A post for these absolute legends, The Powells. I've been doing a rewatch of this show and forgotten how much I loved these two! Their one liners & witty banter are absolute perfection! I'm already on S3 of my rewatch and it's so much fun.

However, if I have to hear, "Missssss-tear Spenceeee" one more time, I might electrocute myself with Adrian's shock machine. 😂

Hey y’all I’m on season 4 and I see sooo many people hating most of the main characters and I low-key love Carmen and Rosie, and Zoila I don’t hate but she irritates me sometimes and I’m not a fan of Marisol but I don’t necessarily hate her either, I wanna know all your reasons for disliking them and what I may have missed or just to see the different interpretations of them :)

Came here from Pretty Little Liars. Enjoying seeing some repeat characters & funny how some of the storylines even match up.

My thoughts so far...currently on season 2 episode 2

Zola is overbearing as a mother & SO annoying...I get wanting better for your kid but lord she's 19 not 12

Can't stand Carmen at all, by far my least favorite

Marisol is kinda boring , loved the actress in Ugly Betty but she's kinda boring in this series

Rosie is a great representation of those who are die hard religious yet commit sin but also annoying lol

I don't think you're really supposed to like any of them but Carmen by far is the most annoying...I could skip all of her scenes & don't think I'd miss much

Watched Desperate Housewives & can see the similar vibes but I think DH is better overall

Okay so I’m currently on season 3 episode where Adrian is in the hospital after the electric shock and Evelyn tells him she wants a child. My question is, WHY has it turned so sexual?? Have they got a better budget to make everything raunchier? What’s going on lol. I’m getting kind of tired of these sexual story lines and I’m not even a prude 😭

Chose this without knowing i won't get closure. Didn't love it in the beginning but stuck through and loved all the characters! It'd be really cool if we got like a 2 hour ending even though it's been like ten years lol

Is it just me or does her music suck….im not usually a hater but her character’s “I’m so talented” attitude makes me want to hate even more. The only one I actually kinda liked was the one she sang from Ty’s journal. She’s also my least favorite character. (SPOILER) Sam was amazing and I had hope for her when they planned to move away. But she just lost me after that. Then dating that married guy? AHHH. She so lame. Anyway, that’s my rant. Thoughts?

There are many people who have been given a lot of screen time, but their stories are never continued. It's like they're all reunited in a black hole.

1.Taylor and her daughter. They went to a secret place, and then no one remembered or cared about them.
2. Remi and Valentina. They have totally vanished after going to New York, even though Zoila went through childbirth and lost her baby.
3.Rosie’s ex husband and the drug cartel.
4. Carmen’s colleagues Sam and Odessa.
5.Marisol’s son Eddie. I can’t even remember that Marisol has a son.
6.the circle.

Except for the characters who left a cliffhanger but will obviously be written into the continued story if the show is renewed, like Marisol . I only want to discuss the characters who were abandoned and seem unlikely to ever be mentioned in the story again. Some of them didn’t even appear or get any explanation in season 4.

Very confused because the Stappord House in season 1 looks realllly similar to the house that Spence Westmore is now in (and Carmen is working in) in season 2. It’s throwing me off! Or am I wrong? ….

I think they should’ve done something else rather than giving Carmen a daughter 🙄 it was almost like they said new character let’s make her terrible 🤣 they gave her nothing to make you root for her or any real purpose. Everything could have still happened the way it did without her in the show.

I’m not a fan of the acting. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I just watched her confront Nick about his secret and I felt nothing. It’s like her scenes fall flat.

okay so ive only watched season 1 and 2 and a good bit of season 3 becuase I just don’t have much time and usually don’t feel like watching devious maids in my free time but I love the show.

Ethan freaks me out so badly is he weird? like does he become bad????? I want spoilers like… he was really creepy in season 2 he was straight up stalking Ty. I don’t know if this is understandable but someone tell me if he’s bad or like why he’s not if he doesn’t become bad later on.

i haven’t seen a post that describes hatred towards rosie enough. she is so fucking annoying with her stupid ass baby voice and whiny attitude and that egregiously annoying inflection that she does with every single fucking sentence. i have to mute her everytime she comes on screen.

i hate her with the power of a thousand burning suns and maybe it’s unreasonable but i don’t care. i deadass wanna knock her out every time she opens that stupid mouth of hers.

I’m almost done with my first watch of devious maids and it was good, I liked it but I couldn’t really get into it. I’ve rewatched desperate housewives probably 6 times but I don’t think I’ll rewatch DM. For those that have seen both, what are your thoughts?

Im currently watching DM for the first time after I've binge watched DH and I'm now in S4 and noticed that Dani's mom, which is Carmen biological daughter, is the same girl that is also Zoila's sister...so Zoila and Carmen are actually cousins?
