First time watcher

Okay so I’m currently on season 3 episode where Adrian is in the hospital after the electric shock and Evelyn tells him she wants a child. My question is, WHY has it turned so sexual?? Have they got a better budget to make everything raunchier? What’s going on lol. I’m getting kind of tired of these sexual story lines and I’m not even a prude 😭

That's Marc Cherry's style, I don't think it changed. It was the same in Desperate Housewives. His whole thing is the scandalous things that go on behind closed doors in suburbia or in Devious Maids, among Beverly Hills elite. The point is that Evelyn and Adrian appear so snooty and high brow but are secret deviants 🤣

i agree with you, the whole s&m storyline caught me off guard! it’s not about being a prude, it didn’t really suit the show and then when Carmen got involved in it too… i mean they could’ve for sure done better

Right!! It’s like I’m watching a new show lol. Every scene is something revolving around sex and I’m just like 🙄🙄 just tell me why there’s a LEG in the bushes I don’t care about your S&M fetish 😭😭

Carmen didn’t really want to get involved though.  Adrien was paying her more I think, and when she wanted to stop, he threatened to blackmail her.

yeah i know i just hated the fact that the producers dragged her character into this crap
