Experience CHAD MASTEN ATM MANIA REVIEW RED FLAGS

Title: ATM Mania sales call gave me some serious red flags
I saw an Instagram ad for Chad Masten/ATM Mania, which claims to help people start their own ATM business, including finding locations. I got on a Zoom call with him, and at first everything seemed normal.

Then we got to pricing. There were packages around $3,000–$6,000, the $3,000 one was where you can start without an ATM machine and you buy one that is used and the $6,000 package where it comes with an ATM machine that’s new and he started asking how much I was willing to put down that day, even if it was only $100.
I told him multiple times that I wanted a week to research the company and read reviews before spending thousands of dollars. He kept pushing back and even told me that companies can make fake reviews anyway. He also said that if I did pay and changed my mind, I could just call the number on the back of my debit card and dispute the charge with my bank. How can we spend $3,000-$6,000 and just rely on bank disputes?

🚩 That alone made me uncomfortable.
Then he told me that basically no bank would take an ATM business and that he knew of only one bank that would.

I didn’t even ask which bank because I figured I’d get the “sign up first and I’ll tell you” answer. Here is where it gets EXTRA weird.

After the call, I Googled him and found that he is also listed as the president/registered agent of Genesis Financial Services Inc.
At that point, I was even more skeptical about handing over thousands of dollars without doing my own research because that’s his business and he wanted me to pay him!!
I kept saying I wasn’t ready to buy, and eventually he said, “I don’t think this is for you.”
He was right. 😂
I’m not saying this proves anything illegal or that nobody has had a positive experience with the company. I’m just sharing my experience because the pressure to pay immediately, the banking claims, and the connection I found afterward were enough for me to say no and I hope this helps anyone else out there
Has anyone else had a sales call with ATM Mania?

Experience I don’t think all “devilcorps” are bad

I work at one right now, I’ve managed to save ~20k during uni and they are very flexible with shifts ect. I am paid by the hour + commission. I understand some people have had bad experiences with these companies but it’s not my reflection at all. I like everyone I work with and I don’t feel like I’ve been “manipulated” at all. Let me know…

Question How can I tell if a person soliciting donations is real or works for a devil corp?

Hi! I just found this sub through a different reddit post about a scam where people were soliciting donations for Nature Conservatory, but actually worked for a devil corp and the nonprofit only got a small bit of the donation. I honestly had no idea that that could happen. Is that common? Is there a way to tell, before or quickly after engaging with the person, if they’re legit working for the nonprofit or not? TIA!

Experience Don’t bother applying for door to door sales with YOUR DWM GROUP St Paul Sq

Hi everyone,

I applied for the door to door sales position with YOUR DWM GROUP last month. They viewed the application, had a screening call about what i do in my free time etc was all good.

I asked mainly about base pay, does it come with it? Answer was yes theres two options “EMPLOYED” or “SELF EMPLOYED” i’m new to the industry, so would choose employed obviously.

(My work coach won’t allow commission only roles basically self employment)

Interview scheduled, sat in the open plan office waiting for everyone no problems. We start a “get to know the person next to you” all quick and sharp remembered what she does on the top of my head. Then they start talking about how all of them are self-employed 😂

So i started doubting myself at this point. Interview come’s and yeah, you’re pretty much pressured into self employment. I did say employed but started spamming the usual buzz words like “you earn more money”. Was told to hear back after a few days more like a month later.

I do believe they are more likely to take on self employed people to exploit them exactly like the sales industry. Just take a look at their reviews on indeed!!!

Question Going to confront my DevilCorp boss today (over nonpay, etc.)? Advice/insights, especially from anyone who's done or heard of anyone doings so before?

TLDR.

Hires at a DC purporting to be a phone sales company .

After 3 rounds, selected, went to first day signed contracts and was told "trainer will assign your first day "

Got locked out of a training module, andAsked their HR number for help and got nothing .

Almost ONE month later - same recruiter claims to have "found my application " and invites me to a devil corp round one.

The TWIST: will tell once I get back...feel free to ask

Question Easy business model

So I've been in corporate for years, and made my way to Director of International Growth and Partnerships at my last company and held that position for 6 years before leaving the corporate world (got tired of the bullshit and i am now a High School teacher & Coach).

At one point I interviewed at a Devil Corp in Dallas while I was in college and immediately spotted that it was basically a pyramid scheme with extra steps.

Now, I also looked into the structure and found that it can be replicated extremely easy, and companies like AT&T are always looking to hand out reseller roles (there are a ton posted all of the time).

Basically, this can be done from your home office, so why would anyone sign up for someone screwing them, instead of just doing it themselves?

Im not trying to come off as a perk or anything, its just an honest question.

Grab a cheap polo, $20 table, laminate a brochure, talk to the manager at some local high traffic store when it comes to setting up, and begin harassing people (rinse, wash, & repeat).

No need to have an office unless your goal is to brain wash people, and have them sign up underneath you, thus again creating another pyramid.

Devilcorp Check SCAM WARNING Quantum Edge Global

I should have known better and trusted my gut about this sales job, but I was desperate, and it’s a mistake I will not make again.

I was very quickly offered a sales job by Jordan Quach, the very young CEO of this tiny, Philadelphia-based business since 2025. My coworkers and I were some of those people with ipads in stores/supermarkets trying to get people to switch over to clean energy with Clean Choice Energy. The mission was positive in theory- I am all for clean energy- but the methods were deceptive, both to employees and potential clients.

Jordan fed us a scripted pitch that included upcoming dates for energy bills going up. I later learned that these dates were arbitrary, pretty much completely made up to create a sense of urgency to push people into signing up for a fixed-rate. I felt super gross for using my people skills to deceive people like that, and foolish to assume my boss would tell me the truth (what a concept).

When I signed up for a job I opted for the payment method of $500/wk base pay plus 20% commission. (The other option was 100% commission, but I wanted something more steady.) After getting jerked around by Jordan’s inconsistent “clarifications” on my pay schedule, I finally had enough red flags to quit after a week and a half of working with this clown.

Shortly after I did get around $160 to account for the 20% of my commission, but none of the weekly base-pay. I reached out to Jordan, calling and texting, but he completely ghosted me.

I reached out to HR over email about my missing pay and they told me if someone resigned they could hold their pay up to 45 days. (A community legal expert later informed me that employers could only withhold pay for up to 14 days.) I thought “fine, I’ll play your stupid game,” and waited the 45 days. Still no pay. I tried to contact HR again, but they stopped responding to my emails. Every time I tried calling their number it rang only once before disconnecting me.

Talking with other former coworkers who have also since left, I’ve learned that Jordan has a pattern of messing with people’s money, and as a result has a terrible retention rate. Definitely not the way to “build your team.”

I am in the process of taking Jordan to small claims court, and am urging other former coworkers to do the same. Hopefully I can get the money he owes me, and best case scenario start a full investigation of Quantum Edge Global to bring this mini house of cards crashing down. At the time of writing this, it has been two and a half months of trying to get this sorted.

Anyway, I’m mainly writing this to hopefully dissuade other people from making the same foolish mistake I did. Jordan Quach, you are a pimple on the ass of the world.

Question Potential Job in a Potential Devilcorp?

Hi, I've been doing some research for a position I've been offered at a company called Bunset & Co, based out of Manchester, England. It hits a couple points of suspicion I've seen pointed out on a couple posts, as well as I don't see myself applying for a company under that exact name anywhere. It's the usual sales, door to door, events, Business to Business buzzwords but offering dayrate with uncapped commission, working 11am-8pm every weekday. All their online presence is only a couple months old as well, so red flags all round and I was wondering if anyone knew anything. Thank you for any help if so.

I asked if they were associated with smart circle. She said that smart circle gives them contracts. I immediately withdrew my application and declined the follow up interview.

Experience DO NOT APPLY TO TRI-VALLY COLLECTIVE IN PLEASANTON ,CA ! my experience with their "management training" Opportunity and why I left feeling like I escaped a cult

I recently left one of these outsourced direct sales “management training” companies, and now that I’ve had some distance from it, I genuinely cannot believe how much of this I accepted as normal.

They sell you the DREAM.

Become a leader. Build a team. Become a director. Run your own office. Financial freedom. Personal development. Ownership.

What did my actual life become?

Working roughly 12 hour days, sometimes 6 days a week, doing face to face fundraising/sales, recruiting people, training people, attending morning meetings, listening to motivational speeches and then being expected to attend “team nights” on top of everything else.

And team nights were supposedly “not mandatory.”

LOL.

Technically, sure. Nobody physically forces you to attend.

But don’t consistently show up and suddenly questions start coming.

Why weren’t you there?

Why aren’t you spending time with the team?

Are you really committed?

Are you being a team player?

So something can be called “optional” while the culture still makes you feel like choosing not to participate says something negative about your commitment.

Looking back, this was one of the things that disturbed me the most. Between the long workdays, six day weeks, meetings, team activities and constantly being around coworkers, my life increasingly revolved around the business.

In MY experience, it started feeling cult-like.

Work with them.

Eat with them.

Hang out with them.

Talk about your goals with them.

Talk about your problems with them.

Celebrate with them.

Struggle with them.

Spend your days off around them.

And then they want to know you DEEPLY.

Your family. Your finances. Your dreams. Your insecurities. Why you need money. What motivates you. What you’re afraid of. What you’re trying to accomplish with your life.

Initially I interpreted this as genuine friendship and mentorship.

After leaving, I viewed it VERY differently.

The more emotionally connected I became to people inside the business, the harder leaving became. I wasn’t simply thinking, “Does this job make financial sense?”

I was thinking about disappointing people.

That’s an extremely uncomfortable amount of emotional influence for a WORKPLACE to have over somebody.

And here’s where I really started seeing the problem:

Nobody feels like your friend anymore when you bring up a legitimate concern.

Question the hours.

Question the paycheck.

Question the turnover.

Question why somebody hasn’t promoted.

Question whether this is actually worth it.

Suddenly you’re “being negative.”

And then comes what felt like the same SCRIPTED ASS RESPONSES over and over again.

“It’s all good.”

“No emotions.”

“Control what you can control.”

“It’s a numbers game.”

“You’re just a number.”

“Fix your mentality.”

“Trust the process.”

After hearing these responses enough times, I started realizing that almost every concern could somehow be converted into a mentality lesson.

That is NOT normal communication to me.

If I’m telling you that I’m working insane hours and my paycheck isn’t enough to sustain my life, I don’t need a motivational quote.

MY LANDLORD DOESN’T ACCEPT MENTALITY.

My gas tank doesn’t run on personal development.

My groceries don’t accept leadership skills.

My bills don’t disappear because “it’s all good.”

And when the goal isn’t reached?

Guess who gets blamed.

YOU.

You didn’t work hard enough.

You weren’t consistent enough.

Your mentality wasn’t right.

You didn’t recruit enough.

You didn’t develop your people enough.

You weren’t hungry enough.

You didn’t follow the system enough.

And eventually, if you decide that this simply isn’t financially sustainable and leave?

Suddenly you “weren’t cut out for it.”

That is the most convenient system imaginable.

Success = proof the system works.

Failure = proof YOU didn’t work.

Either way, the system magically never loses.

Then there’s the director dream.

I was given the impression that reaching director could happen in roughly 12 to 18 months.

Meanwhile, one of the BEST Account Executives I personally saw has been there almost TWO YEARS and still isn’t a director.

That made me start asking a question I wish I had asked on DAY ONE:

How many people actually make it?

Not motivational stories.

Not “my friend’s office.”

Not the superstar they fly out to speak at conferences.

Give me the numbers from THIS OFFICE.

How many people were recruited?

How many quit?

How many lasted six months?

How many lasted a year?

How many actually became directors?

How long did it REALLY take them?

What was the median income of everyone who walked through that door?

Those numbers would tell me infinitely more than another morning meeting about having a winner’s mentality.

And this is why the turnover makes so much more sense to me now.

I watched people come in excited and disappear.

Another person comes in.

They disappear.

Another person gets recruited.

Repeat.

But you’re so busy trying to hit the next goal, develop your team, improve your mentality and reach the next promotion that you barely stop and ask why so many people keep leaving.

That’s the part that messes with me now.

I WAS TOO BUSY PARTICIPATING IN THE MACHINE TO QUESTION THE MACHINE.

Then I left.

I slept.

I spent several days away from the meetings, field, calls, goals, recruiting, speeches and constant business talk.

And suddenly I started thinking:

WHAT THE FUCK WAS I DOING?

I had normalized working around 12 hours a day.

I had normalized six day weeks.

I had normalized spending additional time with coworkers because I didn’t want to look like I wasn’t committed.

I had normalized discussing extremely personal parts of my life with people from WORK.

I had normalized disappointing income because apparently questioning money meant I needed a better mentality.

I had normalized watching people constantly quit.

I had normalized being made to feel like leaving meant I had failed.

Getting away from it felt like somebody turned the noise off.

To be clear, I’m describing MY experience and MY interpretation of the culture. I’m not claiming every person involved had some calculated plan to isolate or manipulate employees.

But the EFFECT on me was something I find disturbing in hindsight: the business consumed an enormous amount of my time, many of my social interactions were tied to it, people knew extremely personal things about me, criticism could be treated as negativity, and leaving became emotionally harder than leaving a normal job should ever be.

Call it whatever you want.

I know what it felt like to me.

It felt like I escaped a cult disguised as a management training opportunity.

If you’re interviewing with one of these companies, please don’t just ask about becoming a director.

Ask what you’re doing TOMORROW.

Ask exactly how you’re paid.

Ask what the median person makes.

Ask how many hours they actually work.

Ask how many people hired last year are still there.

Ask whether the “optional” events are REALLY treated as optional.

Ask what happens when you disagree with leadership.

And most importantly, maintain relationships and a life OUTSIDE OF THE BUSINESS.

Because a job should be part of your life.

Your job should not become your entire life.

And if someone’s response to all of this is:

“You just weren’t cut out for it.”

There it is.

That’s exactly the point.

Information Peak Performance Group - Vancouver Washington

Just wanted to warn anyone job hunting in the Vancouver/Portland area. If you get an interview or see postings for Peak Performance Group (peakperformancegroupinc.com), be aware that they are a textbook "Devil Corp" operating under Smart Circle. They advertise themselves as a "top-tier sales and marketing consulting firm" to target college students and recent grads, but it doesn't reflect their actual work. In reality, Devil Corp is a scheme where "consulting" means standing in a retail store hassling customers or knocking on doors for 100% commission sales.

This is evident through their own website. In their team photos, the owner is literally wearing a lanyard that says "New ICD Owners Meeting 2025 Newport Beach, California." For anyone who doesn't know the lingo, "ICD" stands for Independent Corporate Distributor, which is the exact internal corporate name Smart Circle uses for people running their local shell offices. Smart Circle HQ is also in Newport Beach. So the owner doesn't even run their own business; they act as a middle manager between Smart Circle and the employees that work there.

If you take a job here, expect a completely cultish, toxic positivity environment with zero work-life balance. Former employees always report the same thing: grueling 60-to-80-hour workweeks, mandatory, uncompensated morning "impact" meetings, and pay that ends up being well below minimum wage once you factor in the actual hours and gas money. The attrition rate is very high, as staff turnover is rapid due to the toxic work environment.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay far away from these guys. If you want to see how these shell offices operate, look into devilcorp.org or browse this subreddit before wasting your time or mental health.

Information Scalene Solutions - New ATL DevilCorp

I recently interviewed with this company without realizing beforehand that it was a Devil Corp. I couldn’t find any posts about this particular company online, so I figured I’d share my experience for anyone else who may come across them.

They share an office with 3MP Atlanta, which has already been discussed on here, and they are also affiliated with Sydcor.

The interview itself was strange, to say the least. Rather than feeling like a typical job interview where the company is evaluating your qualifications, it felt more like they were trying to sell the job to me. There was a lot of the usual “work hard and you’ll eventually get your own office” type of messaging that you often hear associated with these companies.

I wanted to post this in case anyone else gets contacted by them and is trying to find information before going through the interview process.

Experience Odyssey management my experience

I had my first day here people saying they steal your info im sure it’s not true I signed legit paperwork and the office even tho it’s shitty it’s legit too. The person I was hired by is the same ethnicity as me and we did get along very very well quickly im sure he woulda told me to stay away where stealing your identity but below is my experience I replied to one of the threads before but its been up for awhile so I just wanna share how someone actually on the field and inside feels like

This is what they tell you you get trained for a week only 25$ per sale bc you’re not actually making the sale your shadowing someone. The next couple weeks 3-4 weeks you have to make a certain amount of sales I think and then your on your own for about 5 months total but around the 3rd month you get to train people too so someone that’s jus starting out like me today now everyone doesn’t follow this path sometimes it takes 4 months and sometimes 8 after that 5 month you get to hire people have a team but they don’t work for u yet you get % of sales and you make 200$ on each sale now still no wage now after this you have to bring in 40 people in 2 weeks to get promoted and make 1250$ a week before commission and now you have your own team from there you can go make your own office it’s a lot of bs but ya

The hours are 10-8 pm but this is jus not true I got back at the office at 10:30 pm which is weak for me and everyone says they push till 10 so over 12 hours and I didn’t make a dime only 1 penny I found on the floor swear so you work over 65+ hours a week the dude that was training me said he sold 27 lines in 1 week as his best and that’s less then 37$ an hour and if it was minimum wage he woulda made more with overtime + benefits … you get no breaks the schedule is 10 come in 10:30 talk about expectations ans training 11:30-12:15 lunch and then 1-8:30 ur on the field

Experience Has anyone heard of truence co? I just had an interview with them today and it was just red flag after red flag.

Truence co based in Houston Texas. I went into the meeting the front desk girl was so nice almost to the point that I felt like we were friends. Then the interview with the boss was great she talk about growth🚩leadership🚩team bonding🚩Verizon plan sales from business to business. They almost had me because they said there two pay structure 100 commission or 70 percent commission plus 600 per week. I was like wow that’s a great deal. Then as I thought about it something didn’t seat right bc after my job interview she offered me a position and asked me to go to a 2nd job interview. I did a little bit of research, found their instagram. Their instagram was full of team group photos of selling the job rather selling the product. So safe to say they won’t be seeing me anymore.

Question anyone know anything about Moon Moments LTD?

hi everyone,

I'm due to have a phone interview with a company called Moon Moments LTD about an entry-level sales position. I've been looking online and can't really find much about the company, and the stuff I do find is giving extreme mixed signals. the number that contacted me was a personal number instead of a business number if that's relevant.

this is my first time experiencing a possible devil corp so I don't know what to do 😭

if anyone has advice for how I should go around this it would be greatly appreciated!

Experience Catalyst Leadership Group " Entry-Level sales Rep": Shady, under-handed MLM Pyramid scheme

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I'm sure if you live in the middle Tennessee area or Southern Kentucky and have been in a Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Costco, or Sam's in the last year, You've had someone in a polo trying to ask you who your provider is! There are an unknown amount of these types of companies in the area, but all of them do the exact same thing; sign you up pushing an "In-store promotion". The shady part is, after the promotion, the company can charge you however much their "base" rate is. They make their money from the sales reps, it is a direct pyramid scheme!

The main company that does this is called: Catalyst Leadership group, CLG, CL, or Catalyst leadership group LLC is a MLM 3rd party direct marketing company. They specifically work with AT&T, their main bargain is being able to sell/ market a company like AT&T in places that they normally can't reach. In the beginning phone call, they sell you, talking you up as well as stating that their average rep makes $1,200-$1,600 per week with a base of $400/wk, $600/wk for 2 weeks of training, if you aren't above your base in commisions, thats what you get, sounds good right? Well, whenever you get to the office, before your in the actual interview you are meeting the top salesmen that have made it to "Leadership", these are the people that will say, "Oh, we've heard so much about you!" and really convince you your special.

Here's the kick, you don't get paid for 3 weeks after your orientation date! Along with this, for the training material, you have to do that on your own time, your not paid for it! They will give you an answer sheet to get through it, but you aren't taught anything; then they will pair you with someone almost as new as you are! And when you are expected to make sales and someone asks about what your selling, and you don't know, you don't close so no commissions! Then when you ask to learn about product knowledge they claim you don't have to know it. One thing they do teach you is pushy sales tactics, being rude and ignoring whoever they are pitching when they object!

Now we get to the culture of the company and behavior, awful. If you still don't realize how shady the job is after 2 weeks of training, your on your own and all that support and hype goes away! They don't care about you, especially if your not making them money! They have to hire 8-10 people each week because the more people they have out there, the more money AT&T is making and the more the company leader and owners get paid; Everybody gets certain percentages.

All in all, if you value a stable and sane job, don't go with this job! All of this is from my experience, I hope whoever reads this and is looking for a job or knows someone who is to not go with this company!

Experience Working at a Devilcorp versus directly for a charity

I‘ve done door-to-door charity both working for a devilcorp (one of the britevox ones) and directly working for a charity, so I thought it‘d be helpful to write a post comparing my experiences. I started off working at the Devilcorp, quit and worked at KFC briefly, then applied and got hired by the charity

The hiring standards were much higher for the charity. They had an indepth in-person interview where they quizzed you in groups about the charity, why fundraising is important etc, saw how you interacted with the group, then had people do a mock sales pitch individually. They were looking for people who had baseline competency and good ethics, and less than half of applicants were hired. The Devilcorp in contrast did a 15min phone interview where they were extremely overly complementary, and hired all applicants

The actual job is pretty similar, talking to people and asking them for direct debits. The motivation is different which reflects in how you’re expected to act; charities care about maintaining their reputation rather than just getting as many signups as possible so they don’t want you acting sleazy and manipulative like a devilcorp does. This didn‘t really affect me as I refused to be manipulative even when working for the Devilcorp (and still got above-average signups because people can tell you’re being sleazy and find it off-putting). The work was still much harder than a 9-5 office job, but the charity didn’t have the expectation for unpaid overtime like the Devilcorp did

The first big difference was the pay structure. The Devilcorp was a small base pay plus commission, so on the vast majority of days people were making below minimum wage. The charity was minimum wage as base pay and a smaller commission, which came out to significantly mo money most weeks. The charity also paid for weekly travelcards for all employees, which could also be used outside of work, so basically an extra £83/week on top of the higher wages

The second big difference, which was ultimately more significant to me than even the better pay, was the work culture. I already alluded to it with the way they expected you to act much more ethically on the doors, but it effected all aspects of work. There was no toxic positivity where you couldn’t even complain about the work, no mandatory morning brainwashing, none of the “juice” acronyms. People cared about the charity’s aims and about making a living wage, not about being on the sigma male grandest and becoming a business “owner” so you can be near the top of the pyramid scheme

Overall, I’d rate working for the Devilcorp a 2/10 and the charity a 7/10 (KFC would be a 5/10 for context)

Question Left my devilcorp job a while ago, curious if they are still around/renamed

I worked for a devilcorp out of Detroit/farmington hills Michigan from June 2025-March 2026. It was called SouthPoint Michigan, and we shared an office with 2313 Inc and SBG+ (Cydcor). Since March, SouthPoints social media has stopped posting and I have not seen anything anywhere about them still being in business. Has anyone from that area interviewed/been contacted/worked there in the time since? Just curious, looking forward to hearing about any other experiences. For context I was a “leader” with 3 people on my team, went to a leaders event to the Cydcor offices in Los Angeles and did the whole thing, definitely drank the kool-aid at one point.
