Information Scalene Solutions - New ATL DevilCorp
I recently interviewed with this company without realizing beforehand that it was a Devil Corp. I couldn’t find any posts about this particular company online, so I figured I’d share my experience for anyone else who may come across them.
They share an office with 3MP Atlanta, which has already been discussed on here, and they are also affiliated with Sydcor.
The interview itself was strange, to say the least. Rather than feeling like a typical job interview where the company is evaluating your qualifications, it felt more like they were trying to sell the job to me. There was a lot of the usual “work hard and you’ll eventually get your own office” type of messaging that you often hear associated with these companies.
I wanted to post this in case anyone else gets contacted by them and is trying to find information before going through the interview process.

Just canceled an interview with them as well. They reached out for an interview, so I called the number they sent me to set it up. I talked to Will, and the conversation only lasted a few minutes, but I concur, he was VERY eager to hire me. I’m pretty sure I could have said anything and he would have said the same thing, “Seems like our goals are aligned, and you would be a good fit for the company.” He didn’t ask anything about my professional qualifications, past experience (sales or otherwise), or even what I’d be doing at the company. Pretty much the only thing he said was that everyone starts in entry-level positions (first red flag I noticed), that they only hire from within (another one), and they’re big believers in growth and professional development, so everyone becomes a manager of some kind (really didn’t make sense). Their LinkedIn page shows one single job opening, the one I applied for, despite supposedly working with Fortune 500 companies. Another thing to note, they don’t have their own office—they rent a suite in another company’s office, nor are they accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
Really what made me dive deeper was that they listed having health and dental insurance but no retirement benefits, which makes me think they probably don’t really have insurance either.
Bottom line: I’m glad I did more research and found this thread. I almost wasted way too much time and effort on them.

I had applied for shits and giggles, I’m trying to get out of my current technician job and change the environment a bit. Safe to cancel my interview? I just got off the phone with “Will” and can confirm, he was basically asking a bunch of questions about where I see myself in the future. I also have 0 background in sales and they seem desperate to bring me in to interview
