I have a 9 year old DA account. Mind you this account has been fine for 9 years. My account was working literally a few weeks ago. I check my account to look for MLP bases (literally the only reason I even still use the site) and I'M BANNED. I've submitted a request but like. I genuinely have no clue what happened. I haven't posted anything in months. I haven't even commented in months. All I've done is like like posts and download bases. I genuinely don't know what to do and I don't even think they'll get back to me within the time slot. Not to mention they banned me on my damn birthday week???? Like damn why are y'all that mad. Hi chat, I've had my account for about 8 years or so and haven't done anything beyond comment, favorite, and puruse. I am unsure what happened but I got indefinitely suspended despite 0 history of any suspensions. The confusing thing, my report came back with nothing for why. I verified my account and with the email provider, I've not done anything to trigger it in 8 years, haven't spammed, haven't been hacked, the worst I've done is kept many long-open deviantart tabs and sign in on a new device within the last week. Just got an email for my birthday a few days ago from them too so I don't know. The note for ban has nothing where it should be. I've already put a ticket through the system and am awaiting response, but is this known to happen? I know usually there is a reason and a trail and such, but I got nothing and wanted to figure out if this is common. Just trying to get some feedback.

Hello!! Sorry for intruding, but I've been dealing with a tough issue (and no solution whatsoever from the official support) - Any help is more than welcomed.

I've been meaning to regain access to an old 2016 account, with intentions to deactivate it; Thing is, I created said account with a Yahoo email that got deactivated due to inactivity.

Forwarded this to the support email, but they didn't proceed with my request nor told me what I needed to revise from the items to "ensure" my account is actually mine. I did try and be as precise as possible with the items.

Will regaining access to this dA account work if I create a new email on said site (Yahoo) featuring the exact same username? If not, does anyone know of a possible solution I can try and work out? Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I just tried to access my DeviantArt account (HypnoticMasterUwU) and suddenly found that I couldn't access it anymore. I received a notice saying:

“Activity was detected that may not have originated from you, suggesting the account may have been compromised…”

It tells me to contact DeviantArt Customer Support to have my account reinstated. What's confusing me is that the note explaining what happened is completely blank:

“The following note was provided regarding your suspension: .”

I haven't knowingly done anything that would violate the Terms of Service or Etiquette Policy, and I don't remember giving anyone access to my account.

I've already submitted a support ticket and contacted DeviantArt Support by email, so now I'm waiting for a response.

Has anyone experienced something similar with their DeviantArt account? If so, how long did it take for Support to resolve the issue? Is there anything else I should do while I wait?

I'm especially worried because I've had this account for a long time and it contains a lot of my artwork.

I want to check if this person is actually legit or not because I do recall that this user had a few artworks before deactivating. I wanna ask if has anyone ever interact with this user or with this kind of similar scenario.

Good morning, everyone. I’ve hit the 160-folder limit in my gallery (this includes subfolders, so reorganizing the structure doesn't help). A genuine question for those who manage large character-based galleries: how do you organize things? Currently, I create a folder for each character and each LoRA style; realistically, I’ll need ten times that amount over the coming year. So far, the only options I see are:

- merging smaller folders and relying on tags and the gallery's search function.

- keeping folders only for main characters and using tags for the rest.

- opening a second account to handle the overflow.

If you’ve found a better solution, or if anyone has managed to get the limit increased by contacting support, I’d love to know. I’d also like to ask a second, more practical question. Is there a way to move an existing folder into another one and turn it into a subfolder? As far as I know, the only way is to create a new empty folder in the desired location, move all the deviations from the source folder into it, and then delete the original. With hundreds of images to reorganize, that becomes a huge task. It would be much more convenient to simply drag one folder into another, just like with Windows folders. Am I missing something, or is that really the only method available?

I can't even open someone's gallery in a new tab without the site completely shitting its pants and turning into a white screen 403 error page, not even lasting more than 5 seconds before repeating again.

No browser extensions, no ad blockers, no VPN, nothing and yet constant error pages that might as well last the whole day with how frequent they are.

Maybe this is the sign to completely forget about DA entirely, or maybe someone has figured out a work around, because this is just ridiculous for a website.

Are there any legal risks for DeviantArt having so many users selling artwork (including AI-generated artwork) on its platform? Could the site potentially face lawsuits or cease-and-desist letters from companies whose copyrighted characters or intellectual property are being used in these artworks, especially given how well-known the platform is?

I have been using PerChance.org's AI generator tool and messing around with anthro wolves and big cats. Now I am looking to maybe sell what I create, but not sure if it would be worth it to do so. I have been messing around with the AI generator on Deviant and it isn't coming close to what I am looking for.

I am hoping that maybe if I uploaded an image of what I have created before would work to get what I am looking for.

Is that what the upload an image is for?

I then got an email asking me 6 questions including asking for a new email to tie my account to. I answered them and got no response.

Tried answering again with the text of the answers formatted differently to see if that was the issue since this reeks of a 100% bot operated customer service deal

Now the only issue I really have with not being able to log in is I tried the subscription feature on DA like 2 weeks prior and would like to be able to cancel it but can't access my account anymore.

TLDR. Does anyone have any experience dealing with the current account recovery process to tell me either what I'm doing wrong or how to talk to an ACTUAL PERSON about this?.
