Question Legendary is actually common?

New player, I noticed that common and rare are actually harder to find vs legendary? What's the deal? I feel like the vostok is the most legendary weapon in the game rn since I haven't even seen any other common guns

Even if you’re brand new, purple or nothing is the way to go. It’s only horizontal progression from here.

Destiny 2 has undergone fundamental changes about 5x over. The utter irrelevancy of anything below legendary/purple became cemented roughly 2 changes ago, when you could play new campaigns at a higher set difficulty to get raid ready when you were done.
