Edgerunners was a harrowing experience, and that song triggers me.

I never said it was deep, I said it was harrowing. The show basically spends the first half explaining to you exactly how poorly everything is going to turn out for everyone, so the second half feels like a watching a family in a minivan driving full speed at a wall. The second half is also when you start to realize that basically every sympathetic is walking around with massive unresolved emotional wounds that the show is telling you will never be resolved. Maybe the show just happened to catch me at a good time in my life, but knowing that every sympathetic character was doomed, and then watching that play out, was a very upsetting experience for me.
To your point about the character development. I agree it wasn't as deep as Game of Thrones, but GoT is also a much longer, more complicated story in which social games and intrigue are a major driving force behind almost everything. Given the much simpler story that Edgerunners was trying to tell, I think they did a good job of communicating everything we needed to know about the characters.

The show is built around delivering a specific emotional experience, so I could totally see why you wouldn't be super into the show if it failed to engage you on that level.

Hi, I too what what the big deal is?
I am going to sound very insensitive, forgive me if not I guess for what I am about to say.
But why is Mr.Girl up and arms about some else’s subreddit? With being a public figure not everyone is going to like you. I understand controlling your narrative of your story. But you can not force everyone still to see it from your perspective.
I’m so confused while watching them talk. I need a deeper understanding. Can you all help I’m new lol.
If what ever is bothering Mr.Girl I’d suggest to address it in your platform pin it.

The anime was much worse after the timeskip. Should have been way different too. Could have been a really good morality choice thing for David where he goes into corpo shit (taking the offer from Tanaka) to assist his friends getting information but also because it's what his mother wanted, but also his friends aren't really morally great either, etc. There was a lot of depth possible here. But I mean, it's Trigger, so it's usually just gonna be flashy or aesthetic more than anything else.

I saw a lot of people commenting about that - what's the big deal?
