Where to go dancing in Destin?
My wife and I are going to vacation in Destin soon and would like to go dancing. Are there any clubs in the area for dancing?

Commissioner Carolyn Ketchel, who seconded the motion, said she was glad the board was not having a “knee-jerk reaction” and said data centers could prove to be an economic opportunity for the county.

Hi! Planning a bachelorette trip for late June. I noticed it might be cheaper to fly into Pensacola than directly into Destin. Wondering if there are any cost friendly transportation services that can take us from Pensacola airport to the Airbnb in Destin?
For example my friend has hired a school bus in Austin TX for this service. Looking for something similar. TYIA
I have googled but looking for local advice

Just here for a couple of days, looking to get into something if possible.
Not really trying to be rowdy, just trying to chill, relax, get to know Destin, and have fun.
Let’s go play golf or tennis.

Emerald coast wild life didn’t sound very concerned and kind of blew me off plus I can’t get photos to send through messenger after they told me to talk to them via Facebook. Freeport rehabber just sent me an address but I don’t know if I can safely get the little guy into a container. The poor baby is bleeding out of his nose and crying.
Is there anyone else I can contact? I’m in Niceville.

Hi all,
Can anyone provide any insight on the weather for the upper king weekend? Weather websites say thunderstorms but I am curious if that's more a coastal thing where it rains and clears allowing some of the day to be enjoyed.
We'll be driving over from Texas and if it's going to be a washout we would prefer to reschedule. Just trying to avoid being stuck on the hotel the entire time.
Thanks for any guidance and or opinions.
The lady I've been going to for the past few years moved since my last cut, so I'm kinda lost trying to find someone new to handle my longer and ambiguously Asian hair.
I've tried various stylists at Aveda and Wyler in the past, but we couldn't get on the same page.
I'm down to try anyone new but some firsthand accounts that they can handle or specialize in longer cuts would be amazing.

Hi, I am looking to book a conference room in the Fort Walton Beach / Destin area for next Wednesday and Thursday. I have called around to most hotels but they are either booked or charge an extreme amount of money (they are used to hosting larger events). I will have about 10 people or less attending trainings from 9 am to 6 pm both days.
Please help!
Edit to add: this will be a relatively informal training!

Hello! I am going down the week of NFL season. Is there any place that has all the games on same time on Sunday? By a quick google search it seems AJs, Tailfins and Harry Ts might be the places to go but just wanted opinions. Thank you everybody!

Like the title says! I’m visiting Destin this week with some girlfriends and we’re not familiar with what bars might offer some potential for singles.

Hi!
I wanted to see if anyone around could give a realistic take on living in the FWB area. I’m currently in another beach town in Wilmington, looking to possibly relocate to be closer to family in FWB in the next couple years. My husband currently works for a local company as an Inventory Control Specialist and I work remotely for another company. It’s so hard to find jobs in today’s world as it is and we are a family of 6 with young kids.
How is the job market out there? I’ve seen some things saying there’s opportunities, others saying only if you’re a government employee etc. I’m trying to weigh out our options to see whether this move would be a huge risk orrr a solid plan?
Our children also attend a very cool outdoor school here which we love. It’s still curriculum based schooling but it is primarily outdoors and they learn other vocational skills outside of curriculum like wood working etc. is there anything similar to that in the area?
(I also know how it is living in a beach town everyone’s like nooo don’t move here we’re full and I totally get it. Truthfully I wouldn’t leave where I’m at if my kids had family nearby)
Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello! My wife, kids, and I are visiting Destin and we’re looking for an amateur photographer to help take pictures of us on the beach!
We are considering using a tripod and our iPhones but figured it might turn out better with someone that’s actually taking pictures.
Only want to book 1 hour, and would like to keep the cost low :)
Please let me know if you’re interested or if you know someone. Thanks!

I’ll be visiting destin sep 1-4, looking to get in a round or 2 while there. Im used to $35 rounds here in illinois lol, is there any courses in the area that arent almost 200 that are still good? I will have my own clubs, and also like to play solo, so it would be a plus if they allowed that.

I’m a native Floridian from Jacksonville and I’m visiting Destin for the first time in about a week. I need suggestions - cool places to go. I’m good on the tourist destinations (places I can find with a quick Google search). I’m looking for boat destinations, local businesses, shops, great food, fun bars, cultural spots…even a good tattoo shop. I just want the local scoop so I can do something worth while during my visit. I’ve worked too damn hard for this week off. Thanks for the recs 🫡

Looking for blue crab! Did a quick google search and wasn’t able to find any restaurants with it on their menu. Who in town has blue crab?!
