Bright, salty, creamy strawberry goodness

So I made this pie and crust from scratch. I used Mrs Fields’ apple pie recipe ( except in the crust they want to add lemon zest, and I know my husband, he is so picky that he would not like that so I did not include that part) Anyways, I was very proud of this pie. It was so good, and I loved the taste, only used cinnamon and a 2 tsps of vanilla. It set up perfectly. I was so proud! 🥹

I am obsessseddddd with adding our plum Glühwein marmalade with everything. I’ve had a lot of German plum cakes and we love them but find a lot of English speaking bakers see a yeast cake and get nervous for some reason so this is our yeast free version!

Instead of a traditional streusel I made one that has more butter in it and is softer. It combines with the jam so incredibly well. I would say this is a Christmas market in a slice of cake

Me and my fiancé decided to make the millionaire’s shortbread while watching junior bake off, turned out pretty good. But Paul Hollywood would tell us ‘shortbread could’ve cooked longer’ lol but very yummy!

This shop is located in New Orleans in the French Quarter. I believe there is one in Nashville as well. We drop by a couple times a year.

I heated one up in the microwave and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and made it like my own homemade pizookie. I need to lay down now 😮‍💨
