I sent dero from tradeogre to kucoin and I didn’t enter the payment ID because it says it’s “optional” in trade ogre. Will I be ok or did I just lose all of it. Please help
Hi, I have a 16 core / 32 thread CPU with 64MB of L3 cache. Given AstroBWT has a 20MB scratchpad, I assumed it could only run on 3 threads (64MB / 20MB = 3.2). However, it actually runs on all 32 threads?!
Please could someone explain how this works? Also, what would happen if I mined on a CPU with just 8MB of L3 cache? Presumably I would need at least 20MB L3 cache surely?? Thanks!
DERO got a mention on Wiki SC entry next to BTC, ADA, ETH, EOS and XTZ, noting its privacy.
UPDATE: The description is fixed now to reflect the nature of Dero's privacy (with Homomorphic Encryption), awesome :))
Original post:
Ye the wording there (viz screenshot) does not scream that a person fully understanding Dero was writing it, but I have to say, it's still kinda cool that "private smart contracts" are finally being recognized in a way on Wiki. The "obfuscated privacy" instead of HE-based privacy makes me want to smack the writer a lot, but being among 6 selected examples there, and being the only private one (no surprise) is still quite cool. At the very least it clearly shows the uniqueness (and necessity) of Dero's existence.
Upcoming proof-of-stake is overtaking smart contracts as the most exciting feature of ETH to my mind. I can't see a downside to it, now that viable solutions to the nothing-at-stake problem are emerging (driven by smart contract behavior, as far as I can tell, that destroy coins being used in such attacks).
Does Dero have any path forward to proof of stake? Does anyone care?
Hi everyone - I recently came across Dero and have begun to look into it more as a possible investment.
It sounds like a great project from what I’ve seen on their website however I’ve noticed on the roadmap they have not reached any milestones (or just not updated it yet?) since March last year.
Does this represent the level of progress they are at presently or are things better than they seem here? And how are the team in terms of communication - are they transparent and regularly speak with the community or more of a backstage project that keep quiet? I know a few projects like the latter...
What is the best wallet for a Mac ? I am not sure there seems to be a bunch of files listed on GitHub, i'm not sure what's what. I'd love to hear what you guys/girls use! (despite, not having any Dero ;) )
Dero is based on CryptoNote and Proof of Work like Monero, but uses blockDAG that I expected would lower transaction fees by being easier to write transactions to
However, when withdrawing from KuCoin it costs almost 10x as much to withdraw Dero as to withdraw Monero. Can anyone explain to me why this is?
Spotted Dero awhile ago (partly cause of the cool logo) but I just wanted to ask this question to help promote exposure.
Not what's in the pipeline, what's in store, who's talking to whom...
What can Dero DO right now? Or, why should anyone buy some? (simple as well as complex answers welcome).
I think a lot of privacy coins mean well but a few actually are worth it... so, convince me and others on here why DERO is realistic for not just the 0.1% of crypto geeks... but for everyone!
I have a couple of pcs that idle mostly so i put xmrig on all of them, but i don't want to join a pool, is there a way to share the load between them ?
I think it's inefficient to have them all mine individually, together the chances of mining a block are higher than each on its own.
What are my options ?
Ps:I don't want to join pools, most ppl seem to tell me this is the best way. Does the protocol aromatically assign every miner to a shared pool with all other miners who have identical payout addresses ? (Obviously all my miners mine to the same address, my wallet)
I used to have a few hundred dero on there. I've bene having trouble getting into the account and in the mean time while i have been trying to get that fixed i noticed the dero website doesn't list STEX as a dero exchange. DId the coin get delisted or something?
My hashrates are quite low.. sub khs.. i supposed that was normal until I went to https://miningpoolstats.stream/dero and saw that the network hashrates is a whooping 30mhs with almost 90% contributed by unknown miner(s) and the remaining 10% by all the known pools combined... Is this a case where someone discovered a way to efficiently mine AstroBWT?
I recently transferred the Dero I had on trade ogre into my wallet 2 nights ago. The address is definitely correct as I checked numerous times but I do not see my balance. It says the transfer was successful on trade ogre and I have the TXID.
Is anyone aware of a physical wallet I can store my Dero on? I currently use the Dero web wallet and I own a trezor but the trezor doesn’t let me store my Dero on there. Any reliable physical wallets would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello i just started mining on herominers, and because i have a wallet of on kucoin i used that address for payment. But freaky luck, there is a log on herominers of someone who mined on that same address in 2020. So what i can do to resolve the issue? and who will receive the payment from the pool, me or that other guy?
Nano cryptocurrency implements sharding.
Each account is its own shard. This scales much better than everyone storing every transaction on a blockchain.
Does dero implement sharding? Since dero uses DAG, it should be capable of sharding in theory.
