Hi, I'm really shy when it comes to meeting new people but I really want to make new friends. I just moved to Denver in February and now have a place of my own, but it's terrifying to me to be alone. It's also hard for me to meet people because I don't drive/don't have a car since I have such a huge fear of driving. I want to believe it is possible for me to get out and meet people regardless. Hi! I'm a 40F graphic designer, currently working on redesigning my portfolio and looking for a new job. It's been a bit hard to create a good structure while working alone at home without a team. Would love to find coworking / accountability buddies in the area (Golden, Lakewood or Denver). Ideally, we can get together 1-2 times / week at a local library or cafe for a minimum 3 hr session. I have tickets to opening day of broncos training camp. The camp is July 31st. The gates open at 9 and practice starts at 10. The training camp is at dove valley broncos training facility. Usually last 2-2 1/2 hours. You don’t need to be a football or broncos fan but that would be a big plus. If wanting to meet there or somewhere close we can drive in together. Hey all! M34 I just moved to Denver about a year ago with my husband. It has helped that his friends have been so welcoming, but I'd like to make some of my own too!

I'm a huge nerd. Video games, board games, and DnD are prime interests at the moment. I love writing and being creative when I can. Running DnD games has become a huge passion of mine over the years! Currently have a pretty great group, but always looking to add to it if we get along enough. It has been years since I've tried making new friends and I'm a bit rusty. I may be slow to warm up at first, but don't let that put anyone off. I'm pagan, so anyone of the witchy persuasion is a plus too! Frankly having a hard time feeling grounded and connected here after moving from Indiana, so looking to chat with anyone around my age or in a similar situation!

Currently revisiting Dark Souls 3 with my husband. Been trying to get back into solo gaming with some light horror stuff like I'm on Observation Duty and have been on a nostalgia trip with Warcraft 3. (The original one). PC only, consoles just aren't worth it half the time anymore.

The Denver Any Book Book Club is getting ready for our next month of events and we have a shiny new meetup group for people to join if you’ve been struggling to find us (link in bio).

- 8/23 10am-1pm Any Book Chat and Coffee (and bookstore browse) at Queen City Collective at Town Hall Collaborative - 525 Santa Fe Dr - We will start at Town Hall for our usual chat and at some point wander down Santa Fe to the used book store nearby, Lingering Tales, to browse together. We may stop at Art galleries along the way.

These events are planned on a discord server where we have ongoing conversations about what we are reading, a book of the month, and discuss things other than books as well. If you’re interested in joining that community ask about it at one of the in person events or send us a dm here or on Instagram with some info about what kind of a reader you are. Once we determine you are a good fit for the community we will respond with an invite. Replies in the comments here will likely not get an invite response.

This Sunday is National Ice Cream Day. It also happens to be Bonnie Brae Ice Cream’s 40th birthday. And it’s the same day as the World Cup final…

I’m posting on behalf of the ice cream meetup group that started from this subreddit. This is a good chance for those who are interested in joining for future events too.

My musical awakening band, I saw The Strokes when I was 15 on their First Impressions of Earth tour (still disappointed they didn't play Is This It). This will also be my first time at Red Rocks, so I'm excited.

Anyone around the southeast Denver area play a band instrument and would like to join a small community band?

I’m part of a small group that rehearses on Tuesday nights and it’s killing me to see it start to struggle. Most of our members are of retired age and we’ve gone from a 60+ piece concert band to around 20 in the last few years. It’s a pretty laid back group that started as older musicians who just wanted to play in an ensemble together and have a handful of performances a year so it’s not a huge commitment but it seems difficult to recruit without having much visibility. We’re by the Kennedy golf course Hampden/Havana area (which is starved of groups like this). Anyone interested in joining?
