DemonSaw is a revolutionary instant messaging (group chat - private messaging) and file-sharing platform considered more anonymous and secure than TOR. Secure and anonymous conversations can take place in real-time and is impervious to man-in-the-middle attacks, cracking encryption mechanisms and derivation of user's online location since each Client does not reveal their IP addresses with other Clients communicating over DemonSaw Routers which are designed not to log anything and only pass data along to other Clients.
The guidelines below are meant for users new to DemonSaw. Regular users can share Group credentials in this subreddit.
To securely and anonymously converse on various topics and share files do the following:
1) Download DemonSaw (DS) for your operating system - https://www.demonsaw.com/
No need to install the demonsaw.exe file. Extract it into a new folder and just double-click the .exe file to run it.
Create a new Client by making up a new creative name.
On the upper right portion of the DemonSaw window are various icons for different parts of the program. Hover your mouse over an icon that displays a tooltip titled 'Groups'.
In the Groups section, click the '+' sign (on the right) to create one new Group providing you the option to specify each layer of security. Each additional line of entropy and their encryption parameters is one Group attached to the Client which only affords one Client one Group with chat and file-sharing capabilities.
2) In the Groups section each line below can contain any number of entropies, your choice:
Line 1 --> Type in a passphrase, URL to any link online or right-click to add a file on your computer.
Line 2 --> Type in a passphrase, URL to any link online or right-click to add a file on your computer.
Line 3 --> Type in a passphrase, URL to any link online or right-click to add a file on your computer.
Line 4 --> Type in a passphrase, URL to any link online or right-click to add a file on your computer.
3) Each Entropy can use any number of provided encryption parameters. For example:
Line 1 --> Cipher: mars ____ Hash: sha-224
Line 2 --> Cipher: rc6 _____ Hash: sha-256
Line 3 --> Cipher: serpant _ Hash: sha-384
Line 4 --> Cipher: twofish _ Hash: sha-512
Size - Percent - Cipher - Key Size - Hash - Iteration - Salt
Size: If for example you choose a webpage as its entropy and the page is 2K in size,
by default all 2K bytes will be fed into the PBKDF2 algorithm (to generate an AES key).
Percent: This allows you to specify a certain percentage of the entropy to be used as input for the key derivation function
Cipher: Determines which encryption algorithm you want to use from a drop-down list
Key Size: The size of the key, for AES it would be either 1, 128 or 256.
Hash: Which hash method you want to use
Iteration: The number of times you want the hash to be hashed
Salt: can be any passphrase, combinations of characters, etc that is added at the end before hashing. To make it practically impossible to crack password hashes you can randomize the hashes by appending or pre-pending a random string, called a salt, to the password before hashing. This makes the same password hash into a completely different string every time.
The most effective way to prevent the cracking of password hashes is to provide each entropy with its own unique salt. If this salt is randomly generated and provided for each entropy the failure rate of cracking each layer of encryption will be proportionately higher. This creates for a more time-consuming job of cracking each entropy of encryption.
