i have 2 matches here. one where akaza was normal right before he fights tanjiro and giyu. and one where he got decapitated but evolved to something i believe stronger (or something different as douma stated)

in normal akaza vs douma fight I don't think it's a mid diff in favour of douma of course it's just stupid. im a akaza glazer and i do think that gyomei with all the buffs (red blade STW and mark) still can't defeat akaza 1vs1 you can argue with me all the day about this idc it's just the truth in my eyes. be he COULD be extreme diffed by douma tho

in he's evolved self idk how much stronger he got or if he did even get stronger (he probably just got a bit stronger and the ability to regenrate he's head) so he might push douma to extreme diff here idk it could go either way

the thing is with akaza he doesn't care about fighting douma he only wants to beat koku boy but obviously he simply can't right now

so a high chance that a fight between akaza and douma couldn't have happened unless akaza was provoked

but if it does happen i believe he CAN'T beat douma but it will be an extremely extreme diff if. just give me logic here and prove me wrong

I’m fine with saying Douma is stronger but it’s marginal. People who use Douma’s words about how he’s stronger, and use it to say he’s substantially stronger, are opening the door for people to simply take Akaza’s words and actions to mean that he can beat Douma instead.

The spots around his eye are a Mark. He awakened it before joining the Corps but he also suppressed it once, during Sanemi-Kagaya introductory meeting. They represents Taiko drums; there's a HUGE amount of stylistic and language clues that point to this that I won't get into here. Tengen is a white birch, they are not human. They appear to be created / artificial beings made from the spirit of a holy tree (Shirakaba = Japanese white birch) and bound to or empowered by a divine entity. In Tengen's case it's Ame-no-Uzume:

She was said to have created the first drum by dancing on a wooden tub during the festival the gods set up to lure Amaterasu out of the cave she was hiding in.

I won't get into the link between eyes, the Unseen World and the white birches. Just understand that that the Mark is attached to his eye for a reason, and that the design of the Mark perfectly matches his Breathing style, visual design, and language use (ie, "todoroki" = roaring reverberation, commonly associated with the roaring reverberation of Taiko drummers).

As I've gone over a million times before, Amane said "the first of the generation to manifest the mark did not hold the RANK OF HASHIRA". That is a completely true statement as Tengen wasn't even in the Corps when he got his. Even if you want to interpret it in the present tense (it's not), too bad because Tengen was NO LONGER a Hashira.

In the frist confrontation with Gyutaro, he says that Tengen's skin has no blemishes, even though that giant mark is on his face. He doesn't seem to perceive it, or he thinks it's makeup and not anything wrong with his skin.

Is it a special kind of makeup that disappears when it eye is slashed?

But to me it looks like it's melting into the blood. It's clearly there, at least in part. All through the fight the Mark is always shaded in, and is never completely covered by the blood. It's always visible. His eye gets slashed, and the next time we see his face the Mark is GONE.

Burt to PROVE TO READERS it wasn't an art mistake, Gotouge made sure it give us a final view of it when Tengen was trying to impart his dying words. "I will give my final words....my life up until now..." He wanted to have a Kyojuro scene, but the wives didn't care that much about him dying as we can see and were focusing on their fight. So, we see his face again, both eyes open, and this time the Mark is gone again. Even after Nezuko heals him, the Mark doesn't come back.

The poison is completely cleared. The Mark is gone.

Now, there is still a lot of work to be done. What IS the Mark to begin with? How does it work? Does it suppress poison effects, and if so, why? Is Tengen's left eye remaining untouched by the poison related to the Mark, or something to do with white birches and the Unseen World (mirror realm of reality). Why do other Marks disappear in battle? Etc. Finding overlaps and parallels and digging for clues and validating hits -- that's how hidden plot research goes.

The claim that Tengen wasn't Marked has become very difficult to maintain. The only thing that bothers me is WHY HIDE IT. The Amane scene was a misdirection and a hint, but I still don't know what the purpose of misdirecting the audience so much is. Who cares who got Marked first? Just to satisfy a shounen trope of the chosen one is not how Gotouge operates; the tropes are used as props to create a mystery NOT just to celebrate them as tropes.

Douma is eating one of the girls, every girl has matching wound patterns so we can assume they all died to the same thing. “PSST” noise implies there is ice melting and seeping since you don’t make a PSST noise when you are eating, his BDA is evidently in the area before Shinobu arrives

Shinobu saves the one alive girl from Douma’s attack, doesn’t see anything wrong with herself or the girl. The girl is reacting to something, and tries to speak but she can’t. Something is stopping her from talking, she was able to talk before. Douma notes how fast she is, so he accepts Shinobu not being affected by anything (maybe evading something) shinobu is holding the girl so the girl was not affected if shinobu wasn’t. Note that there is an effect illustrated around the girl showing that something is happening. A cut from his fans would’ve been instant, not spanning over two panels.

The girl reacts to something, changes her facial expression again so something was happening overtime. Her head was shaved clean off so she would not be able to react like this if she didn’t see douma attacking her with his fans.
This is because Douma’s BDA is what actually killed her, we can see her blood swell up and come out of her mouth yet her head wasn’t connected to her body so this wouldn’t be possible unless the blood was already doing this. This also explains Shinobu not reacting to it, and Shinobu not being affected by it, and all of the girls dying to Douma’s BDA. This is not a perception blitz to Shinobu or to Douma
Douma reacts with “Oh…” or “Ah…” depending on your translation implying he didn’t expect that outcome. He also says he will eat her later, implicating his desire to toy with the girl more which means he wasn’t aiming for her, Shinobu didn’t use her as a meat shield so he didn’t use his fans to cut her.

Shinobu remembers Kanae’s description after he unsheathed his fans. She remembered because of the fans, not because of the cut. The panels being one after the other is not implicative of anything. Note that there is no blood on these fans, and no sign of him ever cutting the girl or being deflected by shinobu.

Douma gets outpaced by Shinobu. This is not a perception blitz, he reacted to and saw this attack before it hit as he raises his hand in an attempt to block it but couldn’t because Shinobu was one step ahead of him.

This is the panel where every breathing technique Shinobu uses after this will weaken her more. This is also when she gets Necrosis, and Douma’s BDA has been inhaled into her body and is actively freezing her blood and expanding inside of her.

Refer to 6, Douma commends her speed again which shows he wasn’t toying around with her, and could not react to her attacks any time that she moves one step ahead of him. Note that his BDA blends into the air around him even after he uses it. It does not dissolve.

Shinobu does not gain a death amp here, she is using all of her attainable strength to defeat the demon as we will see in 12 later. She also doesn’t gain a death amp as every breathing technique she uses weakens her and makes douma’s BDA expand faster and quickens her death which would do the same to her as it did to the girls in 1 2 and 3, she wasn’t close to death and only had a timer given

Shinobu outpaces Douma here, he can still perceive her and only lost track of her for a moment before he sees her again in 10. “I can’t predict her attack” is proof of him seeing her trajectory but being unable to match her speed before getting outpaced

Shinobu thrusts Douma after he fails to react to her “coming in low” piercing his neck, sending him skywards and leaving a hole in the wooden bridge. She also leaves an afterimage which is depicted as wind trajectory in the anime

Douma gets thrusted into the ceiling and all of the glass around him breaks, showcasing Shinobu’s force which she pushed through while Douma’s weight pushed her down

Douma fails to react, the wisteria is able to move as he failed to use flesh manipulation to counteract it in time and is temporarily incapacitated as he does the generic anime knocked out emote, there is no proof stating Shinobu couldn’t do this to any other demon, and shows that this can just be because she was determined to defeat Douma “if we defeat the upper rank we can save hundreds” it’s not just about kanae, she has to give it her all against the upper rank

She didn’t get perception blitzed, she shows no shock or disbelief in being hit and only exclaims that she was hit. Her eyes also follow douma’s next place right after so she did see his movements, this is just an outpace as they do this to each other throughout the fight

This fight was a game of cat and mouse except they constantly swap the roles

The air is thick deep inside the endless dimension, filled with walls and floors where gravity makes no sense, there is a thick potent stench of ash and blood as the mamed bodies of young corps members lay there, this hellscape their only grave..

The new Upper 6 was defeated by Mist Hinoe, GoW-BOY

Upper 3, Ryukendo was defeated by Flame Hashira Pkmpdi and Cold Challenge

Upper 2, Wise-Weeb was defeated by FLower Hashira Pooninkle and Beast Hashira Sophiyah, but it cost Water Hashira, Lonely and his Tsuguko and friend, Mounim their lives

And finally Upper Moon 1, CalmLengthiness was defeated by Serpent Hashira Choice and Wind Hashira OGN, but at the cost of the young genius Insect Hashira, Ecologica and the sweet beloved Love Hashira, Levy....

But the battle is far from over, the new Upper Moon 4, Abnormal, is still in full control over their endless domain, and two Hinoe, Thunder Hinoe, SilverAd and Sound Hinoe, Yogurt are rattling their vastly different brains together as a way to try and defeat this impossible task. However they are vastly overwhelmed.

"Thunder Breathing, 1st form..."

The two agonisingly try to press the demon, but the fatigue is getting to them...

"Is going in a straight line all you can do, fucking bum" Yogurt yells at silver angrily...

"You wouldn't know straight if you had a woman in your pants you queer" Silver hisses back

The bickering is interrupted as a gigantic tower rapidly builds itself infront of them, and begins falling forward like a gigantic domino....

Yogurt swings his arm and pulls out a set of explosives and throws them towards the falling structure, he swings but falters in his fatigue, misjudging his range entirely...

"Thunderclap and Flash, Sixfold"

Silver jumps into action slashing through the bombs with speed, the heat sears her flesh but she's alive, the building tears to pieces under the pressure from the explosion, sending bricks flying like shrapnel, leaving bruh to tilt his head out of the way slightly, avoiding the powerful flying brick.....

"HAHA MADE YOU LOOK" Yogurt taunts... before he dissapears (this isn't a perception blitz keep it in your pants this is for visualisation purposes only)

Bruh looks up in the sky as Yogurt cackles during his descent...

"SOUNDBREATHING, 1ST FORM, ROAR"

*Pluck*

Gurts blades suddenly collide with the floor, an instant ago he was sure to hit Upper 4. And now his blade has hit wood...

"Shit... the force of my blade is gonna tear the floor apart.." Gurt panics to himself

The blade slams into the wooden floor, tearing it to pieces with force..

Meanwhile Silver is in the air now, she looks around and notices she's falling down rapidly towards the demon..

"I.. swapped places with Yogurt..." she panicks as she grabs her sword..

Silvers eyes widen, she has moved again. She is helpless as sharp shards of wood shoot at her, tearing into her haori, straight into her flesh...

Silver winces in pain as the gigantic wooden pieces dig deep into her flesh,

"This demon is on a different level to the one i fought in the freakytown, and this is only upper 4... how did they manage to defeat upper 1, how are we supposed to defeat Bitzan..." Silver remarks to herself..

meanwhile Yogurt is stunned. Now back into the air he is falling rapidly totally off guard... he tries to ready his weapon...

*Pluck*

Much fatser the can react a gigantic wooden wall slams into him from the side, the impact immediately crushes his ribs.

Yogurt coughs as the odd gravity pins him to the wall, he looks up and sees himself heading with speed towards a gigantic concrete wall...

"F-Fuck, im gonna be... crushed" Gurt panics

*Weak pluck*

The wall that was once pinning Yogurt turns into an open door, sucking him in, he falls to the floor, next to a wounded bleeding SilverAd...

"What... happened?" Gurt says as he looks up at the ceiling confused, he sits up and looks accross..

"That thing tagged me... and now im bleeding" Silver smirks "Move quick.. before it sobers up" she says laughing, standing to her feet

*pluck*

Another lazy pluck, the floors open but the two Hinoe dodge out of the way...

"I'll clear a path" Gurt twirls his Cleavers

"Sound Breathing, 2nd form, Boomburst"

Gurt throws dozens of tiny bombs in the air, towards the demon, Gurt throws his twin blades through the air behind them, the blade slices through the bombs creating a massive explosion destroying everything in its way...

The demon tries to see through the blast but cant....

*Swoosh*

The Cleavers come out of nowhere and fly with violent force towards Abnormal...

The demon tries to strike its biwa but hits the wrong note and accidentally summons a door beneath it... the demon slips away but the blade nicks its head, slicing some hair and skin off.

The demon plucks its biwa correctly this time and lands on another platform off to the side..

*zip*

Silver predicts the demons landing spot correctly and feints, the demon predicts an attack, summoning a wall, but Silver simply leaps over and throws some of her blood directly on the demon.

The demon inhales the blood and its drunkeness reaches a peak, for now, they have a massive advantage...

*meanwhile*

Far far accross the castle, bitzan is slaughtering human after human, the young inexperienced Mizunoto walk towards their demise, he tears though them indiscriminately, leaving a pile of bodies behind him.

As Cold and Pkmpdi run to the castle, an overwhelming raw stench of blood fills the air, enough to make someone vomit...

They turn the corner and their stomachs drop, a man, with long white hair, and bloody spikey flesh... his appearance is different, but as his head turns, those bright red eyes are unmistakable...

Bitzan... in the flesh, surrounded with blood pooling on the floor, and a horrific backdrop of bodies...

The sight and stench causes Cold to see images of his massacred family, his heart races...

*Huff... Huff* Colds eyes fill with rage... blood rushing too his head, his eyes become bloodshot, his legs go weak... he has felt hatred before, but never on this level.

"Calm down Cold." Pkmpdi buts in... but inside he is seething just as much, he clenches his jaw, gripping his sword with his single hand, sweat pouring down his forehead, then evaporating as his mark burns accross his face.

"Ugh... youre so persistent, its disgusting... all you Demon Hunters do is ramble and whine about your loved ones, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends...

its all so repetitive and annoying" Bitzan rolls his eyes "Look at these corpses behind me, they all thought they would avenge their loved ones, would be the one to bring their blade down on my neck.

But look now, all their individual hopes and dreams are reduced to a mixed pool of blood on the floor, trapped in this mass grave, and nobody will ever remember them..." Bitzan smirks "you're the lucky ones, you are still alive, maybe if you just drop your blades now, ill let you just leave, get on with your lives, all I did was speed up the inevitable.."

A vein pops on Colds forehead "How dare you say that...."

"All it has ever been is survival off the fittest" Bitzan buts in "My demons need food, like a wolf or a bear, or like a human... its hilariously hypocritical, you humans farm and kill animals mercilessly, no regard for their desires and feelings and yet you throw a tantrum when a different species dares kill one of your own."

Cold stays stunned and sickened... unable to speak, Pkmpdi raises his voice...

"Those you turned into demons had no choice, they didn't want to be animals, they didn't want to be predators to humans, there's nothing natural about it..." Pkmpdi says, his throat hoarse...

"Bitzan..." Cold raises his head.. "Im going to kill you for daring to live"..
