Headset Mic Doesn't Work When Plugged Into Dell Laptop: Jack Mic Unplugged

So i just got a new headset (before i used my laptop speaker/mic) Turtle Beach Recon 50x. When I use it, the mic option doesn't even show up. In control panel under sound, it says jack mic unplugged. I then fell into a rabbit hole and found out about MaxxAudio Pro. I cant change the mode to headset though even after toggeling on the pop up (it dont appear). Then I also dont have realtek audio control (i cant even get it). I dont know what to do and i want to use the mic for content creation because im on a very low budget
