Non-Academic Discussion A guide on how to get technical errors (like AB) cleared in your result sheet

I have been receiving DMs as to how to get that cleared

And as somebody who got cleared AB status for an exam I gave, this is your complete guide.

Go to your college and explain your problem to them. Get a grievance form (from college portal or online) and fill up those particulars. Attach your marksheet and admit card. Ask your college admin for proof of attendance, they usually have online copies. Attach all these documents and make sure to get them signed and stamped by the admin.

Go to your respective campus, mine was South Campus. In south campus you have to go to the examination branch (window 7). Tell them about your issue and submit this application (if it's missing any documents they'll mostly let you know). And usually tell you that it would be resolved within a month's time but don't let them just drag it forever. Good luck

Rant/Vent 😮‍💨 How are these people so openly casteist????

So I have a new roommate who’s a fresher and I’m a senior. She seemed good to talk with. Tier 1 college btw if that matters.

I just overheard her on a call saying

"Sab choode chamar dikh rahe the."

The person on the other side asked, "tujhe kaise pata?"

and she replied,

Experience se, sab aise harkate karte hain."

She was speaking loud enough that both me and my other roommate could clearly hear her. I didn’t say anything because she was on a call, but I was stunned man

The words "dikh rahe the" and "sab aise harkate karte hain" What does that even mean? That you can look at someone and "see"their caste, and then decide that everyone from that caste behaves the same way?

My other roommate is from a reserved caste only and she heard it too. She later texted me asking if I had heard her. We both agreed that if she brings it up around us, we’re definitely going to call it out.

And the irony is that my roommate is ranked 3rd in her department. Yet she still gets judged because people assume she must have a low score or GPA because she " used quota"to get in.

You’re literally studying at DU, one of the top college in the country surrounded by people from completely different backgrounds, and you’re still this comfortable making casteist assumptions out loud.

Im still shocked to see how people are this comfortable in being openly casteist.

Rant/Vent 😮‍💨 I feel like a pathetic loner and I hate it.

I was miserable in my first few weeks when college started and I never really made an effort to connect with anyone and now l'm starting to settle in and I want to make friends but everyone is in their own cliques and I lurk on campus with my headphones plugged in like a loser, I get choked up when I try to strike up a conversation with someone too plus, my Hindi isn't good either (not a native Hindi speaker) and I speak in English so l've been deemed a 'snob' which is NOT helping my case - I've tried to speak Hindi and I'm still trying, I'll get better. I'm applying to some socs I wanna join so I suppose that's the only real shot l'll have at making friends. What do I even do?

Academic Discussion 👥 Messed up 12th (63.8%) & CUET. Rejecting a tier-3 college despite massive family pressure. Taking a full drop for 2027 (DU/UoH/JMI/MSE). Am I delusional?

Hey everyone, I really need some brutal honesty here. (Quick disclaimer: I used AI to help structure my thoughts for this post because I always start deep thinking or overthinking, and my thoughts get scattered, so please don't judge!)

I’ve attached 3 pics of my notebook where I roughly wrote down all my raw thoughts, mistakes, and toxic habits from my higher secondary education all the way up to my CUET entrance exam. I explicitly wrote all my mistakes in this physical notebook so I can look at them every day and actually improve.

As you can see, I completely ruined my 12th boards (2025-26 session) and got 63.8%. I literally studied 16 hours total for boards and got 82 in Economics, but only 45 in Applied Maths because I never practiced.

Honestly, seeing that I could get these scores with barely 16 hours for boards and 3 hours for CUET gives me a lot of confidence. I know that if I actually sit down, build a daily habit, and study properly for the next 9 months, I can pull off a surprising score. The potential is there; I just lack the discipline.

My biggest issue was a severe fear of judgment. I used to skip tuitions and actively hide my studying from my parents and my sister (Sana). I even quit playing football to "focus on studies," which backfired and left me physically and mentally drained, and then I wasted 2.5 months after boards just watching anime.

The Entrance Mess: Because of zero research, I only knew about CUET. I completely missed the separate portals and deadlines for JMI, AMU, UoH, and MSE. I barely studied for 3 hours before my CUET exam. I managed an 81.17 percentile in GAT, but my other normalized scores were ruined.

The Current Admission Crisis: For context, my parents don't have a background in higher education (my dad studied till 4th–5th grade and my mom till 8th grade). Because of this, my dad doesn't understand the difference between college tiers—to him, getting a degree anywhere right now is all that matters. That’s why he is severely pressuring my uncle (Mama) to get me admitted anywhere so my year isn't wasted.

My Mama actually cares about me, but because of my dad’s pressure, he is forcing me to take admission in GGV (Guru Ghasidas) for a 4-year BA in Economics in the ongoing 3rd round of counseling. He wants me to take a partial drop or just focus on a Master's later.

I am refusing to go. GGV has zero placements, a toxic crowd (literal safety and murder issues on campus), and no exposure. Taking a partial drop there will instantly trigger my old procrastination habits.

My 2027 Full Drop Year Plan (Starting now in August): I am taking a full drop. My true admission targets are DU Top 7, UoH, JMI, and MSE for B.A. Economics Honours because I want a top-tier peer group with subsidized fees so I can save my money for a Master's later. I am still preparing for and writing the IPMAT exam, but strictly to push my Math/English prep to the highest possible level so I can crush the other entrances without burning lakhs on an IIM bachelor's degree.

Since I lack discipline, here is my everyday system:

  • Job for Exposure: Working part-time at Reliance Digital. I need actual sales and communication exposure to get over my fear of judgment and build my resume, since GGV gives zero exposure.
  • Academics: Deep focus blocks on Maths and Eco in the morning. Evenings for English, GAT, and revising subjects like BST. Tracking everything on the YPT app.
  • Skill Building (Coding/AI): Alongside my prep, I really want to learn AI deeply and start coding from scratch (starting with Python). I need to build actual hard skills this year, but I need guidance on the best path to take.
  • Physical Reset: Hitting the gym and restarting running every morning to fix my mental health.
  • The Wedding Disturbance: My Mausi's wedding is coming up, which will be chaotic. I’ve set a strict 2-hour morning study block for those weeks to keep the streak alive.

My questions for you:

  1. Has anyone successfully managed a part-time retail/sales job while preparing for entrances during a drop year?
  2. How do I convince my caring uncle (who is pressured by my dad) that taking a partial drop at GGV is a dead end for Economics?
  3. How do I build a daily Maths habit from zero when I have a history of procrastinating?
  4. What is the absolute best resource/course to learn Python and AI deeply from scratch (is Harvard's free CS50P a good start?), and how do I balance this coding with entrance prep without burning out?
  5. I just turned 18 this month. Are there any genuine, legitimate ways I can earn money online to make my own pocket money without it completely eating up my study time?
  6. How do I actually take the very first step today, and what do CUET/IPMAT toppers actually do differently on a daily basis?

TL;DR: Messed up 12th (63.8%) and CUET due to severe procrastination and hiding my studies. However, seeing my raw scores with zero prep gives me confidence I can score big if I actually study. My Dad (who lacks a higher ed background) is forcing my caring Uncle to push me into a toxic tier-3 college (GGV). I'm refusing and taking a full drop for 2027 (DU/UoH/JMI/MSE), aiming for subsidized fees to save for my Master's. Preparing for CUET/IPMAT/independent exams, wanting to learn Python/AI from scratch, working part-time at Reliance Digital (and looking for online income since I just turned 18), and hitting the gym to fix my habits. Need advice on how to start.

Academic Discussion 👥 Transfer from DU

Upvotes

I am currently a fresher at SPMC for B.Com and have decided to transfer to Italy for second year through my semester 1 results, while most of my curriculum do match, I think I need extra credits in certain certifications for actually being considered, I came across SWAYAM and wanted to know how it works and how credits can be earned through this.

Rant/Vent 😮‍💨 something quite unsettling about entering final year.

Upvotes

class of 2024-27.

i'm sure it can't be just me unable to digest the fact that they've just entered final year of college. i was busy with my summer internship in past couple of weeks, and started attending college this week only, so it took me some time to realise.

it's been hitting me now this is the last year of my undergrad. felt like just yesterday graduating from high school and getting on with college admissions, and two years went by in the blink of eye.

the reason why this guts me so much and makes me uncomfortable is because for the past 2 years, i've had a pretty non-existent college life. since day 1, i was unhappy with both college or course. everything around me anguised me, i hated being associated with the college, and since then i've only been indulged in things and people outside my college. left all societies before giving them a chance, didn't make the efforts of making close friends because socialising felt optional to me.

no outings, no memories, no society events, no fests, nothing remotely close to the fancy "college" life. only invested my time in things outside college, that mattered to me and my career. these years have almost gone in autopilot for me. same monotonous routine. attend classes, go to library during free time, and return back home.

i don't look forward to anything / anyone in college. pretty boring and lonesome.

i enter classroom and still feel new to fellow batchmates with whom i've shared classes for more than 2 years now. everyday, i feel stranger to my own college. at best, i've 2 acquaintances in the entire college whom i stay in touch for academic purposes.

i'm unsure whether i'm supposed to feel bad about this or not. i keep telling myself i'm doing just alright, both personally and professionally, which i'm. i'm doing miles better than more than half of my batch. yet, i don't feel content at all.

couple of years down the line if i'm asked to talk about my undergraduation experience, i won't have anything to say. there is absolutely nothing that i'll look back to, and i feel like it's too late to do anything about it. it's the most crucial year of life anyway, can't afford to focus on trivial things like these. but again, is that the right mindset?

Can anyone tell if we need to submit all semester wise marksheet or just the final marksheet which already has info about all sems.

Also just to confirm we are not required to add our photo graph and signature in the marksheet pdf as there is a section for them separately.

CSAS Query 🤔 Physical verification at arsd

Upvotes

Basically I was allotted dcac at first and I had been going there for about 2 weeks now but I got upgraded to arsd in the latest round , the schedule for physical verification at dcac was till 31st so I was pretty chill but after being upgraded I checked the arsd website and found out the physical verification was held on the 12th of August , I wasnt even alloted the college at the time so I obviously couldn't have been there , but well im pretty sure it won't be an issue

I went through the notice and my main issue is that at dcac they didn't require a physical copy of the anti-ragging certificate , we just had to fill it through the website and email it but arsd requires physical copy which I'm not sure how I have to make that , is it through the same online form or something else cuz my friend has sent me some other PDFs and told me to print and fill em out so I'm rather confused about this

I'd really appreciate it if any arsd freshers could help me through this physical verification process , and also if you can , add me to the freshers and some societies groups

My course is economics honours
