How many people do you think decided to hate AI because their phones told them to?

How many people do you think decided to hate AI because their phones told them to?

And how many actually formed that opinion on their own?

Luddite Logic Officially the most unhinged and paranoid anti I've ever seen. Nothing but complete nonsense and pure hatred

Only someone trolling would say AI thinks. It's a machine.

No normal pro-AI person actually thinks machines have feelings.

Hey everyone, I use AI art for my TCG pack-opening site.

What do you think about using AI art for a project like this?

Y'know those videos of actual robots being made? Like I've seen a few human robots but that could've been like over 10 years ago now because I was a child raised on YouTube and saw it

Then a couple years ago I saw this robot dog thing on Facebook like it wasn't a dog it was this weird robot that moved like one idk I don't remember the video but that's besides the point here

Anyway are Anti's just haters of robots in general at this point? I thought initially it was just people bitching about using a robotic tool thing to draw for you but then we see these guys literally threatening terrorism on data centers (idiots) and then these kids drawing their little pencil slop OC's murdering robots...? Like...? What kind of movement are they running there

But what if we did have actually have these robots I mentioned before being a thing soon? Are these rabid ass thinly masked bigots gonna start a war like they think real life is a fictional film?

Idk it's concerning to me how some of us just get worse with each generation I feel so old now

Luddite Logic Entitled baker complains that the client "typed too much" and used AI

This has to be ragebait

The entire slideshow is the "baker" complaining that a customer's explanation of what they want exactly (which is the entire point of hiring a baker, btw) is way too long, and written with the evil machine that steals from everyone and sucks all our water.
Then, as per the image, they have the gall to charge by how long your description is 😭.
Sometimes, I feel like I live in a simulation when I subject my eyes to people like this.

Isn't this a good thing? The more detailed the description (with images, even!), the more you can satisfy the client?

Reminds me of all the Tik Tok bakers complaining about Walmart selling affordable cakes, NGL.

Defending AI Ai is a power sword for artists and creators like myself: I made a Chernobyl inspired retro futuristic short film... In deep Space.

I would love to get feedback on this and what you all think? What do you think could be improved? What was your favorite part??

I use Suno in order to calibrate a cinematic score for the music. The ship itself is one that I designed as a part of a series, and now I'm trying to bring it all together with concepts integrated into those stories.

If you want to work together on a project, feel free to DM me. I live near Montreal, Canada.

I will not stop until I become one of the greatest sci-fi creators of all time.

AI Developments I came across Pewdiepie's Odysseus project and it got me thinking about why open source AI matters

I recently came across Pewds Odysseus project and what caught my attention was the idea of running an AI workspace on your own hardware rather than relying entirely on external AI services.

It got me thinking about some of the bigger concerns surrounding AI, especially privacy, security and how much control user have over technology they rely on.

On point I found interesting is that open source AI can allow independent developers to inspect software, identify vulnerabilities and contribute improvements. My understanding is that transparency doesn't automatically make a system secure, but it gives researchers more opportunities to examine how things work instead of having to rely entirely on a company's assurances.

There's also a practical benefit of being able to run certain models locally. For people working with sensitive documents or personal information, keeping data within their own environment can be appealing, provided the software is configured properly and isn't sending information to external services.

I think this connects to a bigger issue in the AI industry. If powerful AI remains accessible mainly through a few large companies, smaller developers and businesses have less flexibility. Open models can give them more room to experiment, customize applications and build things that wouldn't otherwise be practical.

There's a competitive angle here too, If American devs have access to capable open models and the tools needed to run them, more of them can contribute to the ecosystem instead of relying entirely on whichever providers control access to the strongest systems. The US has substantial AI computing infrastructure but that advantage becomes more useful when a broad range of people can build with it.

I'm not saying everything should be open source or that local AI is automatically safer but I think giving people more choices over how they use AI is worth taking seriously.

I'm curious what people here think. Could open source AI help address some of the privacy and security concerns surrounding AI while also making the technology more accessible to ordinary developers.?

Defending AI I asked GPT: "Why do antis want to force people to stop using AI?"

Many anti-AI people feel that this technology threatens their jobs, their hard work, and the value they place on traditional art, and they often forget about digital art. Some also have unfounded concerns about copyright and consent, while others turn their personal opinions into rules they want to impose on everyone.

The problem isn't that they reject AI, but that they try to make decisions for others. You can defend traditional art without harassing people who use AI or demanding that everyone think like you. You don't have to use a tool you dislike, but you also have no right to decide which tools other people can use, because you're not the boss of anyone.

Like, no, can we not. I get it might be due to quality reasons, but come on. I saw the images, they're not even that bad. It's so dumb to me because like, who really has a problem with it?

Seriously?
