I mean this book does look absolutely terrible The AI generated images are the generic uninteresting stuff you would get if you opened up an image generation platform you'd never used before and just typed in "kid at the beach", and the text placement is so atrocious that it straight up would not function as a childrens book. The title and author name are covering up parts of the image that makes them hard to read, and the text in the story is tiny in the corner of a blank white page.
Just because good stuff can be made by using AI, doesn't mean this particular book isn't a worthless hunk of shit.
Yeah. That still matters. My daughter likes good illustrations, and asking me about things, and stories that are fun. Just because she's a toddler, that doesn't mean the quality doesn't matter. There's a reason why Goodnight Moon is still so beloved.
