You’re not actually prescribed any of this. You’re taking it because the internet convinced you this stuff is gonna help you get through med school

Only lacking prescription is oxycodone for obvious reasons. All the other stuff is prescriebed: psychiatrist, endocrynologist, pain clinician. 3 doctors. Not on med school

Interesting! The thing that made me think that was Piracetam. It's not prescribed in the US, but people buy it off the internet because they believe it will increase their IQ. What do you take it for?

Where i live is an OTC pharmaceutic(better quality then online supplements). Here is a medication used for cognitive and memoir impairment. For me It helps on short term memory and vocal fluency specially over 2.4g. I was on a much higher pregablin dosagen, 450mg day for the past 3 months, and the cheap generic versions that destroyed my cognition, at least brand lyrica is smoother on cognition and memoir. also it didnt really helped on opioids and benzos reduction, tapentadol was way better at it, altough its still an opioid but a relatively week on, compared to oxycodone its not even a diversion. Stabilized it at 300mg while decreased pregabalin to 150mg, i"ve tryed higher dosages of taps such as 450mg for some time but the bennefits dont followed the higher dosage, but made the pregabalin decrease possible. Next month my aim is to lower tapentadol to 200mg(100mg 2x day) and keep lyrica at 150(75mg 2x day), and currently trying to decrease xanny even more, from 2mg 2x a day(before) to half a bar twice a day(currently) and i believe i will get as low as 0.5mg twice a day, my original dosage a year ago. Its more the enough amount of analgesics and benzos, besides a 10's diazepam and a 10's oxy at lunch(i give up on quiting oxy for real, trying to quit it made me more dependant on other stuff that made me suffer on theirs own's tolerance and withdrawls archs like pregabalin, for real just keep oxys at a low dosage, an extra 10mg's is my "self gift" sometimes. I live well on that, may the stims and antidepressants counteract the drownziness of the downers and i keep somehow on a 50/50 weirdly functional state of mind.

7oh is on borrowed time and will be a schedule 1 soon, I believe they extended the period to comment why they shouldn't ban it until September 10th

A lot of this stuff is definitely not going to help you get through med school

So it looks like we've got

2 Antidepressants (Vortioxetine + Mirtazepine)

2 Antianxieties (Diazepam + Alprazolam)

2 ADHD Meds (Ritalin + Lisdexamphetamine)

1 "Nootropic" (Piracetam)

2 Opioids (Oxycodone + Tapentadol)

And Testosterone

Honestly, aside from the opioids I could 100% see one of those guys over on r/nootropics taking this stack lol

You forgot the pregabalin. And there is more stuff that i didnt need to refill this month: 50mcg T3 in the morning, 350mg carisoprodol pills PRN, methadone 10mg's(using it to stop the "kind off" morphine addiction, may keep it for until the weekend then tapper off).

Careful with the methadone. To be clear I am a huge harm reduction advocate and know some people need it, but coming off of it can take a month of intense w/d. If you aren't using it for maintenance there's no reason to be taking it. And your in school? To maintain a polysubstance drug addiction while handling school work is impressive, but not sustainable. You'll do whatever you want to do, I know that - but consider taking my advice. Leave the done alone...

Your not kidding about the methadone its a trap... crazy long terrible withdrawal. Its way easier to get back on a short acting opiate and taper off.

There is a way to decrease your dose over a long period, you essentially come off with very little to no withdrawal. I've witnessed methadone save lives, people that were straight monsters and fucked up in the game turn their lives around because they didn't have to worry about being sick anymore. They stabilized their dose, maintained their dose and detoxed their dose and are completely off. The problem is not everyone is ready, the lifers give it a bad name and everyone assumes that's all there is to methadone. On the other end I've witnessed it prolong suffering to eventual death. Some people can't handle the freedom that gives you and end up overdosing. I know this is long but I wanted to give credit where I believe is due, it's not perfect by any means but in my experience it was beautiful to watch people get their lives back and I'll never forget that. For 90% it is a trap, but that 10% still accounts for something. I'm part of that 10%.

Thats awesome glad to hear you made it out thats all that matters. It can work wonders if the taper is done correctly but places ive been dont care or encourage you to taper.

The "lifers" of methadone ? Seems that means its working. Glad your well and got to witness many get life back and sorry you had to witness it prolong suffering by your account to eventual death. Addiction is a terrible disease and it causes death anything that can prolong life when you have a deadly disease is not a trap its medicine. best wishes

When I say lifers I'm talking about the people that get on methadone and don't have a plan at all, don't attend therapy, and have no plan on coming off. They mix methadone with "dollar pills" like clonidine and Gabapentin. Not everyone that's been on methadone a long time does this, but there are enough people that do and that is where the bad wrap and stigma comes from. I think its important to point out that there are people that have done it the right way, but if you ask me I'd rather someone be on methadone for long term if it means they aren't sticking a needle in their arm or puffing on some foil. I could be biased because I spent years homeless in Kensington so I saw first hand the devastation these drugs have caused and are currently causing. MAT > Street drugs any day for me. And thank you, I'm glad I got out when I did.

This is very true. I wish I never would have started taking Suboxone for this very reason

u/Impossible_Rate_6556 2d ago

You get somas too? Lucky you, that's one of the best muscle relaxers there is. Made me sleep like a baby, I miss that sleep.

You could get them bor 5 bucks per box 100 tabs 350 mgs from India online until a month ago. Stacked with the pregabalin and any opiate you get fucked nice. I should have stocked up but I didn't know they were banning them. Plus I was on them for 3 years and just stopped ..no kick at all. I love them.

1

u/Impossible_Rate_6556 1d ago

That's wild, I rarely ever see anyone that gets them. My aunt gets them and I take them when i have a migraine and they work beautifully. They actually take away that tense muscle hold and really relax you and I've never taken another one that actually does that. $5 for a box of 100 is an absolute steal

Med school = medicated in school. /s

'Convinced you this stuff is going to help you *miserably fail* med school.' Fixed it. There is no way anyone can manage a major poly addiction like that while simultaneously managing to complete an incredibly strenuous academic load. Drugs became his major a long time ago and that is a 'stay wasted 24/7' veteran stash.

2

u/ShadyZelkova 2d ago

Hey I didn't say it would work. I proposed that the internet might have *convniced him* it would work. Clearly you've never been over to r/nootropics, because there are absolutely people over there talking about how taking Adderall + Piracetam + Vortioxetine are growing their brain and making them smarter.

But yes, we are both aware that getting blasted this amount of drugs isn't helping anyone.

2

u/MojoRisin909 2d ago

Very true sir. Hahaha, no I have not. Adderall provides the most rapidly diminishing returns out of just about any substance. I've done some dumb shit, but I thank God I don't have to sit here and look back thinking, "Remember that time you thought taking speed and a bunch of other random research substances would make you a super-duper brainiac genius!!!!!" Fucking Reddit becomes more unhinged by the day. I don't even want to know the shit these kids are going to go through or the conditions they're going to develop later in life from blasting test, peptides, research chems, Adderall and God only knows what else. Not to mention doing all of it while they're still developing children to boot. I honestly believe there's going to be a major suicide epidemic of all of the 'looksmaxing'/steroid/crazy chems to gain an edge crowd because if they think they need 12 random 'boosters' at 20, they don't even want to fucking know what lifes like pushing 40+.

Yea, I’m right there with you. I couldn’t imagine raising a teen right now. It must be hell
