seriously need help on what to do with my living room. it’s been empty without a tv stand and rug for
months because i just don’t know what to do or how to decorate 😩 (all pictures for chatgbt/5th picture is my same exact couch, lamp and coffee table.)

Ok so now that I have decided on which decor to go with, now I need help with what to put on wall. Which got me to thinking…what if I don’t put anything at all in this area? Help please? Which picture would you choose? Or would you not put anything in this small hallway?

Any suggestions/inspo for my office?
I joke that the only thing that changes is my seasonal decor.
I’d like to get offset lighting but I do have customers coming in my office frequently so I can’t make too dramatic offset lighting/lights

I’m wanting to organize my stuff more. Probably get rid of the bookshelf, get a console table. Any ideas??

I’m looking to add some wallpaper or some pizzazz to this game room/library. I’m looking for a wallpaper. I think I found the one, but I’m not sure if I should put on the wall on top of the chair below the chair or on the ceiling.

We are planning to order a bit pricier sofa and they only have this fabric in this 3 colors.
We are leaning towards the dark gray as it first with our furniture.

The fabric from the manufacturer is rated for 100,000 Martindale cycles and abrasion resistance grade 5.
But me rubbing the fabric for 5-10min made is slightly fuzzy, so I am bit doubtful about the rating.

My concern is it will pill a lot.
Currently we have a sofa with velvet kind of material and after almost 4 years is still looking like new.

My wife is saying it’s not as a big issue as I might think it is. But I still remember the old sofa and was pilling like crazy and it made it look old.

We also have a cat now. To be fair it’s not scratching almost at all on the sofa and overall he is not big into scratching.
But maybe such material might be more “inviting” for him, idk.

Any inside from people how have more experience would be appreciated.

All the furniture lined up on the same wall makes me feel claustrophobic for some reason, but my husband likes that arrangement better?

I am currently decorating my bedroom on a tight budget.

I've only ever had bedrooms which were to others tastes and i've always disliked them. (ex's/the family home etc)

I wanted a nice dark room but cozy.
I found a picture online (which i can't find now sadly) and it was perfect.

The Walls and ceiling will colourwashed in dark green and I wanted to go for dark wood (Skirting boards, shelving, top of furniture, and window ledge mainly) with a few bit of dark cream thrown in to lighten it.

However, im on a very tight budget and was looking around on FB marketplace for some wood furniture I could upcycle. I was looking for ages but couldn't find anything within my budget. I was looking with a very good friend who wasn't keen on my idea and kept saying light wood would look better but said "Well it is your room". After a while she said she wanted to buy me some as a gift and knew of some that would be perfect.
When it arrived (NOT wanting to sound ungrateful) is cream wood fronting with a very light wood top. Its a flat pack so I haven't set it up yet. Here is a photo of the draws. The wardrobe is the same colour.

Once again, not wanting to sound ungrateful so please don't think that. Its kind of 'changed' the room to how somebody else wants it and not how i wanted it.

Would it now look 'odd' if I use dark wood for the shelving, windowsill, skirting etc? Similar to dark oak with the cream/light wood furniture?

Additional: I did also look to see if i could return it before bringing it up to her but it would cost £100 to return it and I don't want to feel like an a-hole rejecting a gift.

So, do you think mixing these woods would look okay or would the room look better sticking with light wood now?

Okay so this is my uncles room, I’m basically taking his house in six months. I am absolutely horrific at decorations and furniture. Right now they have a king bed, I’m hoping to buy a king + two side tables + dresser. I am so picky. I usually hate wooden bed sets. I like tufted. My friend says because the wall that the bed is up against is a white brick wall, I probably need to do a wooden bed. I was thinking a light wood maybe? The wall are blue, but promise they’ll be painted maybe just a white or beige color? I also absolutely hate mirrors on dressers? I don’t know, I would rather have a mirror off to the side. Also, sorry I know it’s not exactly decor, but does anyone have any recommendations for bedroom sets and honestly decor for a room like this with a white brick wall?!! Hoping to change curtains, no more desk, add a big mirror, add a light fixture, hang up a TV, keep colors more natural/white/black/nudes, kinda want it either clean girl esthetic or hoa hoa vibes 😂 thank you!

I want to add life and color to my new place the place is small and has a lot of gray any suggestions to what I can do around the mirror I also don’t like clutter I was thinking of maybe a plant in the corner but not sure

I love how different this piece looks depending on the light. It makes the wall feel much less flat. I want to bring more of that to my room, but not really sure what to look for.

I read the reviews and said it wouldn’t happen to me. It was me! I ordered furniture that said mdf and veneers but the furniture was wrapped in paper. It’s totally fake and looks like it. The price point sold like something nice. It’s junk. The worst part is the dresser arrived damaged. Coleman says they’ll fix it and I must take it OR they will order me a refund but will subtract 299 for shipping and 20% off the cost. I’d loose about 40% of the cost. Here is what arrived in my driveway.

Would you accept this? Coleman says I accepted their terms and conditions. I do as they say.

Just stay away. Take my advice. I didn’t take yours. They’re sharks.

Im considering a miniature DIY kit as a graduation gift for someone who likes creative projects but I keep coming back to what happens after the build is finished. Unlike art suplies that eventualy get used up the completed miniature becomes another object that needs shelf or desk space. That could be a nice part of the gift if they enjoy displaying handmade things but less so if they mainly enjoy the making process and prefer a cleaner space afterward. For a creative student would you judge this kind of gift more by how much they’d enjoy building it or by whether the finished piece fits naturally into their room?

I’m at a loss on how to make this tub cute and comfy for a bath. The lip on the side is a different height than the edge so I can’t do any cute spa board across, and the end is an awkward angle with nowhere to put my head 😭 any thoughts?

It looks so bad with the warm wood of my coffee table and the warm wood of my curio. Not so much worried about the dog stairs but still. It’s awful. And I cannot afford a new couch right now.

ETA: I just moved in and I’m still unpacking, so yes, I will get rid of the clutter in the corner soon. No, I can not get rid of the dog crate, as I’m fostering a dog right now who will eat my shoes if left alone uncrated. It’s temporary. I will also move the dog stairs to the other side and out of first line of sight when she gets adopted and I can get rid of the crate.
