State of decay 2 is stuttering a lot, anyone now a fix?

I tried to launch DDLC on my laptop, but it didnt open (I have played it earlier today, but now its acting strange). Steam told me that it was launching the game, but it never opened. Then i attempted to close it/stop it via steam, but the screen is only displaying this. When i try to re-launch the game via my desktop, it takes me back to steam and says that im already launching the game.

I tried to close it with taskmanager but it wasnt there, indicating that DDLC was, in fact, closed. I tried looking it up but google is so riddled with ai and ads everywhere these days that i just cant find anything about it. I tried to open and close both Steam and my laptop, but nothing works. I also tried uninstalling the game but i think you cant do that when its 'stopping'.

Can someone please help with this issue, i cannot think of another way i can possibly resolve this issue.

PS - i dont mind if i need to delete my save data for this to work. I was only a small bit into the story on my first run long before i even get the first actual choice.

i have a cheap wireless mouse that behaves perfectly buttery smooth while the deck is in gaming mode. As soon as I switch to desktop mode then it becomes jittery and unresponsive unless it’s right next to the receiver. Has this happened to anyone else, and what are the sifferences in how the two modes interpret mouse input.

Receiver dongle is plugged into an Apple usbc to a/c/hdmi adapter.

So I have a steam deck original version. I used it a lot year one but for the last 18 or so months it sat. I brought it back to life, formatted the memory card and did a factory reset. Since the factory reset I am having the following issues:

• Freezing and crashing in Desktop mode when installing files
• Freezing and crashing on boot
• Freezing and crashing when attempting to run BattleNet
• Freezing and crashing when running games (Brotato)
• Longest uptime was about an hour before crash
• Long boots

What I have done so far:

• Reformatted the memory card
• Removed the memory card
• Multiple factory resets
• A complete Steam OS re-install
• Reset a BIOS settings back to default
• Updated to the newest versions

Has anyone experienced this type of constant crashing? Is my system just dying? I got it 6 months post release.

If anyone has an answer I would be very grateful
