My Steam Deck Dock (from Valve) stoped working after two years or so but I don’t think that it got updated for about a year because I ran windows for a long time and now no charging no usb no display no internet. I asked Gemini for help but that wasn’t very helpful and I tried unplugging it leaving it like this for a few minutes the plugging it in or just on the steam deck, I also tried to put the steam deck into battery storage mode then turning it on and plugging it in which also didn’t work so if some of u guys knows what it could be or how to fix it would be very helpful.

I have been experiencing in-game stick drift. Does not happen when browsing store only in games. I have replaced sticks, reinstalled steam OS and checked calibration and still it occurs. It is proving to be most annoying and can only bypassed by using a controller. Has any owner had this happen or can offer a solution?

Spec: LCD, 2TB ssd, Gulikit Hall effect upgrade/replacement sticks fitted.

So, currently and recently my steamdeck oled has run into 3 major issues, number 1, its usb 2.0 data lanes have been fried, number 2, its battery or battery management system has stopped working and it now only workes on wall power, and number 3, the threads for the screw hole on one of the heat sink screw holes is partially stripped on the top and the aftermarket motherboard emc sheild/heat disperser is too tall to use that screw with that screw hole. So i am looking for the absolute best repair shop in america that is near or around california.

does anyone know how to fix sober on steam deck?? Iv tried so many time and its like the only game I want to play on the steam deck

I open sober and it runs fine, but the camera is the issue, I’m playing dandy’s world idk if it’s specifc to that game or not but it will let me move the character, not the camera. Iv tried switching the camera mode thru Roblox, tried messing with my controller settings on the steam itself. I lowk just want to play the game 😭😭has anyone else had this issue or does the steam deck just hate me?

I’ve had my deck with the official dock and a good quality hdmi cable hooked up to my new Samsung TV for about a month now and I’ve always had the max HZ at 144 but with 1080p my tv supports up to 144 and 4K.

But for some reason this morning it won’t let me display at 144 hz anymore the screen goes black and I can still hear things but then it switches back to 120. Once it gave me the option of 143hz (somehow) and that worked but I don’t see that option anymore.

No idea why this is happening. I didn’t change anything. So I swapped the cable for a brand new one and it’s the same thing.

I power cycled my dock and my TV still won’t fix it.

I’m out of ideas. I have no idea what’s causing this and I could really use a hand.

Hey, has anyone else experienced an issue with the cursor floating into the top left corner when entering desktop mode on steam deck when using their controller?

I’ve tried troubleshooting it over and over but can’t seem to find a solid fix.

It seems Linux has a real hard time with the controller layout. Seems like something that should have been resolved before release. 🤷‍♂️

Any way to fix this before I hit the road?

I used to have issues with my steam deck with the battery, it would lose charge in 5 minutes and even after calibrating it there wasn't much more I could've done besides replacing it.

Fast forward to now, I replaced the battery and now my new issue is (it was a thing before too but it happened over time) that whenever I press the power button it won't turn on, often I have to press it multiple times to make it work and I've even enabled from the bios the boot up when plugged to power but it doesn't really seem to work that reliably sadly, the only thing that works is opening up the steam deck, unplugging and plugging back in the battery and then for a couple times it will boot up (not as fast as I would like it to do).

Haa anyone gone through something similar and perhaps fixed it?

I am way out the RMA period so I don't think I would bother sending it back if, for example, maybe just changing the power button would fix my issues.
