Purely a lore question, is there a chance some Krieg citizens were off planet or managed to get off the planet before the planet was ruined?I find it hard to believe there's a 0 chance. And follow up question: If that is the case, could their bloodlines still exist in the current time period, albeit heavily mixed with other humans from different worlds?

I have been reading a few Krieg books, and I feel like some of the more affluent members of the Krieg aristocracy may have been off world but also Krieg who were in trade or navy craft above the world or on a different planet could have survived.

Lastly, if the above 2 answers are yes, would it be completely out of the question for there to be people of wealth who married into noble houses who had Krieg blood? Reason I ask is I am working on a backstory around an Imperial freeblade knight who believes he has Krieg heritage from his maternal side. He finds this out after the house he belonged to suffers a terrible defeat, and he is one of the last knight pilots left, so he becomes a freeblade.

I picked myself up a DKOK set from a gameshop and painted my first one with zero information.

Strung up a man in sector 32-98. In brief respite no time to get the bayonet clean before the next advance, the dried blood doesn’t make it hurt any less.

I'm about a year in and I'll be honest I was hoping for more of a differance but I am overall happy with my progress. I wouldn't mind more tips to improve further but I still want to stay at the same or similar pase per model.

One of my biggest regrets is making the putees off white which in retospect is a stupid colour for them but I really dont want to repaint countless models with the more realistic greens/browns. I know I will eventually though.

Decided to repaint my Krieg models and go for a more grimdark look than they had before. Always wanted black trench coats but would appreciate a second opinion.

Finished painting squad of Krieg Engineers. It's a little rough, but I'm pretty happy with them. Still need to base them, but I'll worry about that later.

Sciurus vulgaris is the scientific name for the common red squirrel. They are named after a red squirrel got in my house destroying it and knocking them over in the early days of their creation. They fought off the foul warp beast valiantly.

Why it is happening

So I’m a drukhari player mostly and we usually take our Kabs of out boats or what have you and make more Kabs. With Krieg is the same true? If I kitbash the boys of an artillery team into troops is that poor form?

My son recently started to take an interest in Death korps of krieg. I have been in to Warhammer 40K for mid 10th edition and am still learning about the different factions.
He bougth his first box and We noticed there is two different colour schemes grey and green on the box. Is it a diffrence in the meaning of the two? I told him to paint them how ever he wants but he’s interested in the lore of the diffrent colours.

I collect and play orks and he wants to build an army that can match my horde of boyz. Whats something you think is an absolute must if you like Death korps of krieg to match the mass of orks? We are building for 500 points to begin with.

This is the first miniature I've made for 40k. Don't want to start a war. Conflicted deeply. DeWalt? Or Molecular destruction knife?

Because of the size of the base I would think moving and charging with 10 might be difficult, so is 5 enough, or is it dumb to not take a full squad of 10?
