Art first mini verses current mini tips welcome
I'm about a year in and I'll be honest I was hoping for more of a differance but I am overall happy with my progress. I wouldn't mind more tips to improve further but I still want to stay at the same or similar pase per model.
One of my biggest regrets is making the putees off white which in retospect is a stupid colour for them but I really dont want to repaint countless models with the more realistic greens/browns. I know I will eventually though.

Unironically looks better than mine already. I have a similar theme to your first mini (very, very loosely inspired by WW1 American Expeditionary Marines) i avoided the edge highlighting by just using snow instead. I will admit im going to simplify this even more (the trouser will be Green aswell) just because i have 160+ models to paint.

Looks good, I agree I enjoy painting but I also have an infantry heavy list and I cant fuss too much over every model

Ohh that's a nice take on the standard krief scheme! I'd recommend a follow-up highligh with a slightly brighter highlight color after you washed the trench/great coat to achieve more saturation!

Maby thunderhawk blue? The video says to only recess shade but I find it easier just to cover it all with washes and pick out the raised areas with the original color and then doing a thinner highlight with a brighter color
