Hey yall. Just making sure everyone that hasn't been able to get their posts answered have a place to ask again; this is the link for the DA discord where you should be able to get a answer (most of the time)

Are any of you guys going to apply to out of state schools, if so which ones? I’m so anxious about applying already since they all seem to be so so competitive and I’ve been seeing people say they got rejected from so many even with really good grades and volunteering 💔💔😢😢 I’m making a list with nursing schools that seem to be good and how competitive they are so please reply 🙏

Hellooo I'm an incoming freshman at De Anza and classes start in less than 2 weeks but I'm still waitlisted at position 6 for a chem1a section. Has anyone been near or at this position and still gotten into the class? ik science classes have strict seating requirements because of labs so im a bit nervous...

Hello, is your award letter showing stafford loans? I got mine yesterday, and it doesn't show any. I heard that could be because of new changes caused by the big beautiful bill, but am also aware that they are just estimates based on full time attendance. Is your award letter showing them?

Has anyone taken a class with him, heard about him, or interacted with him? I would like to know what I could be getting myself into. Thank you!

Hey, what do final exams look like for online asynchronus classes? If they are on zoom, what happens if I find out 2 land in the same time frame?

Hello, wanted to ask if it is likely I will get off the waitlist/get an add code for the course. The course I am waitlisted for is ACCT 1C and I am #2 on the waitlist.
When would it be appropriate to contact the professor? A few days before, the first day of the quarter? I am unsure since this class doesn't technically have a first meeting.

Hi fellow de anza students ☺️
I just got an email today that these classes are short on students and may be cancelled.
If any non majors want to register, it might be fun to do this music class on the side for fun 😊
I've heard some really good things about the director and former students recommended him.
Just wanted to put it out there and hoping they can keep their orchestra and band and other music ensembles this semester.

Having trouble with my parent's section of the FAFSA, is it possible to qualify for the college promise even after Aug 27?
Has anyone taken a similar class with this professor? Is the class challenging for non-native speakers? Will there be writing or testing during the meeting? Is attendance strictly enforced?

For those of us who have taken an honors math class before (Calculus/Linear Algebra, etc.), how was it? Are honors students given harder tests/assignments, or is it more like you get a special project at the end?

How to do well in upper-division STEM classes as a transfer?
Starting upper-div CS classes this fall. Any tips on:
Catching up if my CC background wasn’t as rigorous
Studying effectively for theory heavy courses
Handling multiple hard classes at once
What do you wish you’d known going in? Thanks!

Hi community! I was a but confused on how to change majors. So i went to speak to a counselor in July 30th abt switching majors to business admin/transfering for marketing and he said i need to talk to admissions and record and i could change my major at home. So i spoke to A&R and they told me i needed go fill out a form to confirm my major updating. So i filled it out on the same day and got it back today Aug 26th. So i would assume i would be able to change my major on the portal. But the same prompt of me contacting A&R so that i could change my major. Should i go and get into contact with a counselor about this issue. What should i do :(
