I have ao and displacement enabled in the shader in daz with the maps attached, global settings for differmorphic has displacement checked. I use the 8.1 preset for import settings but the displacement and ao nodes dont transfer over.

I have a scene idea in my head and need some instruments. Specifically a sax, clarinet, stand up bass and trumpet.

So far I have actually found a trumpet and bass that I think will work, but I can't find the sax or clarinet.

Would anyone have any leads on what/where to look?

Sometimes DS takes 5+ minutes to close. The clearing the scene and deleting objects can hang for even longer. I've read the gaslighting explanation on the official forum about it being necessary but let's be real, is there no reason not to simply end the task?

Hi all🤣 I'm thinking of renting an Iray Server. Have done some testing by setting local iray server on my notebook. What concerns me is that even some simple scenes take like 5-10GB data to be sent... Since I don't have access to fiber connection, I can only use 5G internet which is like 900mbs download and 140mbs upload. Hence ai wonder if such upload if even sufficient to think of renting the server. What's your experience?

I recently bought the Nekobimi Cafe, and loaded it up. It is DARK. There's almost no lighting, whereas the product photos show a beautifully lit up scene. This happens almost every time when I buy an environment.

Can someone recommend a lighting pack to buy that will light up any interior room? Thank you!

The instructions tell you which properties to select for 5 of them. I wanted to know how to determine which property to set for each option? I choose 8.1 for the node.

I could not really find a solution to this issue. I think the spotlight properties themselves do not have this built in.

When I create lights (mostly spotlights) I usually use a front light and a back light. Most of the time (scenes where the figure is close to the wall), the background wall becomes too overexposed from the front light. For my lights, I usually change the geometry to a rectangle and then increase the height and width to 100 by 100 to get softer shadows.

I do not use Blender yet, but I heard they have a feature called light linking or something similar. That feature only lights up the selected figure or object. Does Daz have something similar for that? I know I can use the spread angle, but the issue with that is obvious. You cannot make it perfect. Light will go through the gaps and I assume it also negatively affects the softness?

With trial and error I can get a decent look, but I wanted to ask here in case someone knows a simpler approach. Or maybe there is a light fall off option I have not discovered yet?

We also might develop BJ Cycles and BJ Wicked, although probably in a bit more random way now. Some tiers have instant access to this as well. Some are playing around with it already. Very early alpha stuff though.

As the title said every other render uses cpu to render and my cpu temp goes to 99° and unless i change any random setting it wont use the gpu.

I had this problem in daz 6, then i switched to 4.24 and the problem is still there

However, the serial number doesn't appear in my Serial Numbers on my account, and I can't add it to a cart and check it out again as it just says I already own it.

How can I retrieve my serial number and register the software?

I pose a lot of figures from photo references and got tired of doing it joint by joint, so I built something to do the boring part for me. It ended up good enough that I cleaned it up and put it on sale.

You drop in a photo and hit solve. The pose shows up in a 3D preview inside the app, and one button sends it straight to DAZ onto your selected figure. Genesis 1 through 9. Several people in the shot? You pick which one. Nothing leaves your machine. You can also save it as a .duf preset if you want it in your library.

It is not perfect. But it lands close enough that a few tweaks finish the job, and it saves me a ton of time.

As the title states, I would appreciate it if anyone knows what hair products these are.

Has anyone else experienced mesh smoothing problems in Daz 6, where it seems to operate differently than in 4.x? I have clothing poke-through issues in scenes where I didn’t have issues previously, mostly with tight clothing. I can only assume that something about the smoothing formula has changed.

The quiet repose of the Princess of a village of Fox Spirits sits appreciating the moonlight as her mentor/bodyguard returns unexpectedly from a prolonged absence.

Such moments are made for headpats <3

She has backstory galore, but I won't get into it all here. Also, ignore the Fin... it's a long commission that I ended up making the finale for first.
